I was happy that day. A girl joined my office in the same process as I was in, and they were beautiful. In a team meeting my manager introduced them to all the team mates. few days later I got to talk to the girls, After some days of talks, I asked one of them to drop her to her home after office, she aggreed. till then I had no soft feeling for the girl, but she had something which was pulling me towards her. We had Corporate Phone numbers so we used to talk to each other daily, mostly all the day. Then something starting to happen, I started missing her. I wanted to see her everytime. I still remember the way she blushed and smile whenever I used to look at her. She was becoming the girl of my dreams. She used to look awesome whenever she used to wear Red, that's why I used to call her My Lady In Red. It had become a routine, I used to drop her home whenever I travelled on my own. Our favourite destination was a ice -cream parlour near a railway station.. and we always used to take her favourite ice-cream 'Choco-Chip'.Hewas loving that time, but sadly, soon I had to leave the company as i had to start a business. The day I told her she started to remain sad all the time. She didn't say anything to me but i cud tell from her eyes that her heart was crying. Soon the day came, the last day of my office. She locked herself in office's washroom cried all the time. I called her up many times but she said she was fine. But I cud hear her crying over the phone. I had to go to the cafetaria, I didn't want to leave her there. After my farewell, I went straight to her, she had brought a truffle cake and a wallet for me, I still hav that wallet, it is one of the most precious things that I have. Me, she and two of our friends celebrated the last day of my office. Our meeting didn't stop that day. We used to meet many times. She used to travel all alone from the office to my place even at night just to meet me. I wanted to meet her, but I was scared every time she used to travel alone at night as I was concerned about her safety. Days were passing by. She became my First Love, the only girl that I love, she became my Life, I wanted to be with her every second of my life. But The good days were about to end, She got a call letter from Bangalore, she had to join a Bank over there. She told me this and asked me whether she should go orNot. Even though I didn't want her to go, I wanted her to do best in her career so I told her to go as we promised to talk to each other every day. I asked her "If she would forget me or find other guy over there in the new city", Her response was in negative. But I was worried, As I didn't want to lose her. I Loved her. And wanted to spend rest of my life with her. I gave her a photograph of mine and her, the best picture that I have ever clicked. Sooner the day came, when she had to catch a train for Bangalore. She called up and asked me, whether I was coming to the station to see her off. I refused because I wanted to give her a surprise, I was already on the way the time she called. But it was my bad luck that there was traffic jam on every route that I took for the station. I reached Railway station, just to see the train moving and her brother going back after seeing her off. I really wanted to see her, as she was going to stay there for 1.5 years. After that weused to talk on the phone, which soon started to get very less, as Whenever any of both was free, the other person was busy. I was busy in my business and she was busy with her training. I didn't do it intentionally but I couldn’t talk to her every time she called. Then came my Birthday, I wished I cud be with her that day, I really missed her that day and wanted to spend my whole day with her. but that was not possible. She send me a Present, a Bluetooth Headset, a common friend delivered it to me. But I don't know why after few weeks she started to ignore me, She started to neglect my call, stopped calling me. We used to talk once in 4-5 days. I tried talking to her but She told me finally she didn't want to talk to me anymore and she told me she will choose a guy as per her family. She specified me many reasons, a new reason every time for not talking to me. I didn't want to do it. but one day she told me to ‘Be-Practical' and not try to call her or she wouldchange her mobile number if I call her again. My heart was broken, the only girl I loved was going far from me. I felt I was all alone in the whole world. That was the first and last time I cried in my life, but I didn't let her know of it. I Told her to give me back my photographs that I gave to her, but she told me that she had thrown those pics. and when she asked me about the Bluetooth I also told her that I have thrown away the Bluetooth that she presented me on my birthday. After that I didn't want to trouble her anymore, so I stopped calling her. It has been 3 months that I haven’t heard anything from her. I really want to talk to her, I really want to hear her voice, I want to see her.Now, I regret reaching late to the station, if I had reached there a bit early, I cud have seen her for the last time. I don't know whether she was serious for me, or I was just another guy for her. But the fact is that I can't love another girl in this life. She is the only girl I love and she has taken my heart along with her. The only thing that I have of her is the Bluetooth, which reminds me of her every time I see it. Resolved Question: Cabin share or ways to avoid the single supplement charge for single cruise travellers?

Hi all, I wish to take a transatlantic cruise late October from Europe, however I have been informed that I will have to pay a single supplement charge if travelling alone (this is through NCL). I understand that cabins are charged per person based on two sharing. However some of the single supplement charges appear to be higher than when based on two sharing (if that makes sense). I would like to find another female traveller who would not mind sharing a cabin with me in order to avoid the double charge. However finding a cruise partner is proving difficult for the time I wish to travel. Is there any other way I could possibly get the charges reduced? I have heard that cruise companies drop their charges closer to departure date but do not want to risk missing a booking. Please help...any advise on this people?Thank to all that have made a contribution to my post. I should note that I am aware of the single supplement rate and the NEED for cruise lines to make up for anticipated revenue based on 2 to a cabin. I am sure there are other singles on board that could have been paired however cruise line do not offer a cabin match service. Since this is my first cruise I am simply looking at reducing my costs. Open Question: How do I apply for grants and scholarships for grad school, travel, and loan repayment?

I will be graduating from my college with a BA in English and I'm going to be owing money for loans that I've taken while in school. I want to go to Japan to teach English but I need the money to travel there in the first place. After a couple years of doing that, I plan on coming back to the States to earn a Masters in Journalism at the University of Georgia. Someone told me about grants and scholarships that give money for achievements and essays written and you can use the money for just about anything because it is yours as soon as you earn/win it. I searched online for these types of things but all I found were scams, things that were for undergrads, things that had certain requirements (like one said I had to be Native American, another disabled, of which I am neither). Does anyone know of a website, place, or company that helps people with these types of things? Any papers I can sign to get the money ball rolling? I have two jobs right now, but I would really like to get these debts paid and I don't make enough to do that within a short time frame. If anyone has any experience with this, I'd love some help. Hi, I have a Macbook Pro right now, and just after a year, it is already freezing every other minute. I take very good care of it and also take it to the apple store often, but it has not gotten better. I have heard that pc's are more reliable, but I have no idea about which companies are good and what is the best buy. I don't want something too expensive (nothing comes close to a mac) but I want something that will last. Here are my planned uses for it; Lots of word processing, powerpoints and research (high school student) Chatting with friends Music (itunes) Gaming- not heavy gaming like World of War Craft, but little online games and also those free multiplayer first person shooters that are only for windows. Travel- it needs to be portable to bring from home to school, and back So, what do you recommend? Is apple still the best buy, and most computers begin to fail after a year? Resolved Question: Who is reponsible to pay when a company truck causes damage to another vehicle by road debris in the highway.?

I was traveling down the highway and a companies truck picked up a 2x4 on the highway when he ran over it. The 2x4 struck my car in the bumper, then popped up and hit the top of my engine and windsheild. It caused a lot of damage to my bumper. I got the information off the back of the truck, have taken pictures of the damage. I contacted the company and the manager admitted to me that the driver admitted he picked up the 2x4 and it struck my vechile, they filed a claim with their insurance supposedly and now I am waiting for their insurance company to contact me. Who is reponsible to pay for the repairs of my vehicle, should I continue to persue it through the company, or am I sol? I have a 500 dollar deductible with my Insurance so don't really want to go that route. more

Open Question: How likely is it to win an appeal of a Texas unemployment claim denial?

After leaving my job do to a company re-organization that was going to require me to travel, which I could not do, I filed an unemployment claim. The claim was originally approved and I received the first payment request, however shortly after I received the first payment the claim status was changed to denied, stating the disqualification was due to that I quit and the job requirements had not changed. To my knowledge I thought that if you quit your job due to a change in the job description or original job agreement that you qualified for unemployment. In the TWC denial letter it stated my past employer said that my job arrangements hadn't changed, since my job position could normally require travel before the re-organization, even though my personal arrangement that I accepted during the hiring process, did not require me to travel and called for local work at a specific client. I have since filed an appeal, however thought I would see if anyone could advise me if I have a chance at winning here. Hopefully I have provided enough information on my case. I have figured it could be hard to win an appeal here given that the overall company requirements for my job position normally could require an employee to travel and that it may be hard to prove that the position I accepted when I was hired didn't call for travel and that I was told I would be working locally for a specific client that would be managing for the next several years. Any advice and input would be greatly appreciated. more

Open Question: Help! legal Issue at work?

My boyfriend was working for a medical office which conducts test on clients regarding their health. He had to travel in a work truck to get to the clients location, mainly corporations. Now he is having the issue of how long it would take him to get to the locations at times. The company uses a program which is not very accurate on how long it would take them to get to the location. He had to write is his drivers log how many hours he drove and it is illegal to work over a certain amount of hours. His manger personally told him "Fudge it up" which he did not. The company works this way; if he does not call in his hours they will assume how many he worked by that program that estimates how long he should have arrived there and how long the usual procedure with the clients takes. His manger told him they would "adjust" the hours for him. Now he was let go from his job and he called and spoke to the HR department and they told him they would have his supervisor call him. He feels uncomfortable talking to him now, with everything having happened he feels uneasiness with the idea of having to talk with him. This guy was his supervisor and if he asked him to do something illegal isn’t HR supposed to go about it different? Is it legal for HR to make him talk to him? I was brought up in a family home that told me I could never win against a supervisor; I don’t know what to advise him. Can someone please give me advice?I live in California..He has no interest in working for the company again. The company is very unprofessional, His supervisor was manipulating his work hours so that there wouldn’t be an illegal issue. He spoke to the HR department and they expect him to talk to his past supervisor regarding what he was doing illegally to his work hours. Open Question: Should boyfriend have asked me to go to the game?

I'm 58, my boyfriend is 61. He has seasonal football tickets, and has had them for over 20 years. Last year I didn't miss one game and even got to go to the super bowl with him. He owns a company and is the owner and boss. A few times a year he has times for him and his employees only, such as big Christmas parties, etc. This time he is taking all of them to the game, which is only a pre-season game, but since he bought extra tickets for many of them, I feel left out. I guess I do not understand why I cannot go. These are couples who work for him and I know every one of them very well, because we have all been together for dinners and even vacations. They all know and love me as I do them. There are 3 married couples going plus another woman who is married but is traveling to our state alone for the business part of the trip, yet she is going to the game since she too is working with my boyfriend. I'm in no way concerned there is anything going on between them, that is not an issue in the least. So supposedly only people who work for my boyfriend are going. Yet I am positive that one of the husbands who does NOT work for him is going. He is his secretary's husband. I feel that if HE is going, I see no reason why me being the boss's g/f, cannot go as well. I have not said anything to my boyfriend because we have had other disagreements on this same issue. When parties and things come up, I'm not allowed, it's employee people only. This is one of the major things that bothers me in our relationship. I realize he is an important businessman and there has to be meetings and all, but is this how business is ran normally? Do other business people give their people huge bonus trips and vacations and tickets to football games and throw lavish parties and NOT include their spouse or significant other? This one thing bothers me so much, yet he is a great guy in almost all other ways. I am a HUGE football fan, and love going. He knows this of course. I have been seeing him for 2 years. I'm a 24 year old california resident. My father started a credit profile on my social security when i was 13 on a fake name. I caught him when checking my credit report. He paid all the debt off, but what I had left was an extremely good credit score when i was 18. i applied and applied for credit cards when i became 18 to collect airline miles. i collected nearly 800,000 airline miles through that and I did some amazing travelling. i had a good income coming in, but then my business crashed but slightly recovered, however, my girlfriend is a shopaholic, and I kept buying her stuff. i bought five new cars in my life. i'm 24. i just graduated college. i have $168,000 in debt. I have an income of about $7500 per month after taxes which is really good, but most of my money is going to debts, and I have to live at home with parents and have an ok living. I look at my minimum payment warnings, and they say it will take 32 years to pay off. I have three options. Option 1 is to not pay. Being self employed, I have the ability to dodge collectors and court actions especially since I can go to another country. I meet the requirements to get permanent residency at Spain, UK, or Canada. I can make the same amount of money anywhere. I can probably even stay here in California, and get away since I have foreign bank accounts. My other option is to settle my debts, but I don't know what amount card companies will settle for. My other option is to keep paying the debts on time, but it will take 32 years to pay off. I can also do bankruptcy, but given statue of limitations, and the ability to not pay bills, I rather just hide than to declare bankruptcy publically. I'm also worried that my parents will find out about this. How do I explain 168,000 dollar debt? - What if they ask me to do something that requires me to run my credit. All I can do is put a freeze on my credit report so nobody can check. I also can rent an apt right now with the good credit I have and stay in it until my credit recovers. I see no reason for moving in the future. I'm young, and I'm sure I can stay in an apt until my credit recovers which can take up to seven years.Sometimes, I'm worried about my parents finding out, and I want to commit suicide.i have no morals. atheist. i believe in helping others so i can benefit back myself in some way. i don't do it for the goodness of my heart cuz i don't believe in it. more

...I need advice regarding LLC or Corporation, and then S-Corp status.My goal is to work in consulting, and eventually become somewhat of a global nomad. I currently make about $50k / year, telecommuting, but I would like to supplement my income, and then eventually switch out. I plan to travel quite a bit. I would like to eventually have things set up, when I can make out my 401(k) contributions through my company, pay my insurance, etc., but then draw income through dividends to lower my taxable income. I'm currently being nailed at over 26% of my income being taken out for taxes, and unlike in other countries, where I may pay higher income taxes, I'm receiving next to no benefit. (I'm still paying health insurance, and still paying tuition to improve my skillset.)I'd really like to know how to best go about this. more

Just came back from that area and was body snatched to attend a presentation from this group. The body snatcher said it was not a time share but just a rental, only a 60 min presentation. When we got there it was a completely different story. It was a vacation ownership sale, 2.5 hour presentation, and another hour with the sales people. I really liked what they had to say and the price seemed right (plus those bonuses!) but I did not purchase for a few reasons. I won't spend thousands on a company I don't know about, some things said seemed too good to be true, other places they had resorts that you could stay for free just weren't places I'd want to visit but to their credit the other ones you could pay for were very cheap and in some decent locations. So the question is, is anyone an owner with this company and what do you think of them? I'm regretting not buying and reconsidering buying but want to see the reviews first. Also, they say you can book travel through this company called Intra Travel (I think) and resort rates and flights are around 50% off. Its not a time share but a vacation ownership so you can go when you want provided a spot is open to wherever you want. At least that's how they made it sound. I've been in a long term relationship with an older black man for close to 4 years now. We don't live together, but we live about 1-2 miles away from each other. We both live in a family house so it's pretty tough to come to each other's home since our respective families are usually home 95% of the time unless they're away on vacation, going to work, etc. Prior to last week, he had a responsibility to look after his elderly mother who was 90 years old. Last week sadly, she died so he no longer has a mother to care for. At the moment, he's temporarily retired from work due to his former company working out of state. So with him no longer working and after the passing of his beloved mother, I believe that it gives us more of a chance to be together more than we were able to before. I know this may make the situation tougher than it is, but we're not "out" to many people including our families because we don't feel like we're ready to be "out" yet. We are however out to some friends and "buddies", whom we've got involved with in the past. Also he has limited access to a vehicle while I own my own vehicle so we can travel wherever we want even if it's to each other's homes. Open Question: Is it really that unfair to my family to not want to join them for a long weekend with all things considered?

We have a lake house a few hours from where we live, and I usually love spending time there, and I enjoy the company of my family, but I've just got back from being abroad most of the summer and I'm exhausted. I was in Asia for six weeks, and had four flights and a total amount of 23 hours on a plane to get home. I only got back yesterday. I'm jet-lagged and just wanting to stay home and not travel anywhere at all for a while. My sleep cycle is totally thrown off, and I need to unpack and get my life back in order. My mom is disappointed because it's something the whole family had looked forward to, and she thinks it will be relaxing for me to be up there. Um. I have four siblings aged 2 to 10, so I think a weekend by myself at home will be a whole lot more relaxing. I'm almost 18, so she's not going to force me to go, but I don't want her to be annoyed with me the whole time either. She had wanted this because I hadn't been able to join them on the family vacation this summer, but we do go up to the lake house a few times throughout the year, so this won't be the last chance. I really want to travel around the world when I'm older, so in order to give myself a little taste before I go on a gap year or something, I was wondering about studying abroad? I live in Scotland and was wondering if any universities do study abroad programs to Japan? I'm looking to Japan as my older half-brother lives in Tokyo and I could stay with him. I'm half-Japanese but know nothing of the culture as my dad (Japanese) lives in Indonesia to run his company. He'll eagerly cover tuition fees as he wants me to 'soak up my culture'. My mum on the other side thinks that it's better to get a degree from over here in Britain? I feel just like a Scottish girl and all of my friends are Scottish so does anyone have any experiences about being British in Japan? I look like a Japanese girl however, and I know Japanese. I am 23 and I've been out of school for a little over a year now. I graduated with a BS degree in chemical engineering (3.3 GPA with internship experience). I accepted a job with an engineering firm that required a lot of travel. However, the company broke the news to me that I would be working as an operator in a remote location for a year. Project delay after project delay, I soon realized that I was stuck out there as an operator (worked there for six months) without much of a chance for serious employment as an engineer. I resigned my position after working there for about one year due to being in that stressful situation and complete uncertainty of what would follow. I had 4 interviews since quitting my job in the last 3 months. None of them have resulted in an offer, and I am under the impression that those companies were insincere about their interest in me from the very beginning. Although I felt the interviews went well, I understood that the interviews could have just been an attempt by the companies to fill an "interview quota" or use me as leverage against their chosen candidate. Should I give up on engineering? Should I move on to a career with better prospects such as medical, etc? Feedback from experienced engineers and people in the chemical, engineering, or manufacturing industries is greatly appreciated. more

Hi, my partner is being made redundant and I would like to know whether they are acting fairly. *Partner works in IT for company in Cambridgeshire for 4 years and 11 months, permanent contract £ 19k has received for roughly 4 years of employment a temporary 24 hour on call allowance of £ 4.5k ( no contract for this) *asked to take on extra job duties on a voluntary secondment in Nottingham for a month to cover long term sick for another IT employee, 68 miles away for 2 days of the week, with no extra pay, this is extended for 2 further months, * 3 month secondment ends, partner told that the existing job he holds in cambridgeshire, no longer exists and his contract will end on 12th september, due to restructure within company he is given 4 weeks’ notice and informed a new job has become available. This new job (given a new title and additional responsibilities covering Peterborough and Nottingham) is basically his old job with but they are terminating the on call allowance, we believe he will be one pay banding higher resulting in £20k annual pay, but means he will be doing more work and travelling further and in addition to this be financially disadvantaged by 3.5 k a year in total He attends interview 2 weeks go on Friday and is told only he and two other members of staff can apply for this new job, but still refusing to discuss financial terms and conditions, he is told he is 99.5% likely to get this job. This week again he asks employers about terms and conditions of this new job and again is refused this information. He has asked for paid gardening leave and is told he is not able to take this until they know for definite he is leaving the company.
