Open Question: Trip to Europe in 2013?

On a School trip June of 2013 since I'll be going to College August 2013. It's by EFtours. Have you ever been? What is it like? What did you do. I'll b without parents, and while it sounds exciting, but I'm kinda of scared to be in a foregin country, I mean this is a once in a lifetime oppertunity. We're going to France and Italy, and taking a train from Paris to Rome or Rome to Paris. We'll be gone from 7 to 10 days. Anything I should know. Just to be prepared, what should I pack? We're premitted a carry on and suitcase per student. They tell us what to bring, but how much. NEED TO KNOW: What should I pack into my carry on bag? Here is their list: Clothing Keep in mind that some religious sites require that shirts cover the shoulders and arms, and some do not allow shorts, short skirts or flip-flops. •Comfortable walking shoes •Shirts (short- and long-sleeved) •Socks and underwear •Shorts/pants/jeans •Pajamas •Bathing suit (if applicable) •Dressier outfit and shoes (reserved for a special night out) •Raincoat and/or umbrella Toiletries •Toothbrush •Toothpaste •Shampoo/conditioner •Soap •Deodorant •Hairbrush/comb •Sunscreen •Spare set of contact lenses/glasses (if applicable) Money •ATM card (call your bank prior to departure to alert them of the trip; foreign purchases sometimes result in a hold on bank accounts) •EF Visa Travel Card or personal credit card •At least $50 converted to foreign currency of the first country that you’re visiting •Pouch for storing money and passport under clothing (available at travel stores) Electronics •Alarm clock (many hotel rooms won't have one) •Memory cards •Adaptor/converter (available at electronic stores) •Camera with ample batteries (batteries can be expensive abroad) Documents •Passport (required on all EF Educational Tours). Open Question: How much time a credit card refund can take (overseas purchase)?

I placed an order online to get some shoes, apparently from US, in which normal transaction takes about a week to be process and shipped but I received an email from a third party company that my payment was approved and then I see in my statement that this transaction was made in China. Story long short, I cancelled the order because they haven't shipped neither they could warranty it by the time I need them (since I'm traveling). Customer service department said: "we will process your refund in 1-6 business days.but need to tell you first:after we refunded, usually it will take about 15-30 business days to arrive your credit card First, the third payment company will take a few time to process it ( about 4-9 business days) Secord, return the money to the international credit card orginaztion( this period take about 8-15 buiness days) , third, send it to you issue bank(it will take about 3-6 business days), at last, your issue bank return money to your credit card." Is this true? is this legit? what kind of rights do I have? Thanks Is this more

Open Question: Will anyone give us a home loan? We are insanely qualified!?

Here's the deal: Our cumulative credit scores are around 800 We have absolutely no debt with the exception of our current mortgage (which is and always has been current). We own our cars and pay off credit cards each month. My husband took a 2 year sabbatical to be home with our young children as his past jobs were extremely travel intensive....he flew in for one of the births and barely made it! We have more than enough liquid cash to buy this new home outright, but would prefer to get a home loan as the rates are low and we'd like our money to keep making more money for us. We have never defaulted on anything, no history of bankruptsy, short sale, or foreclosure. We have a contract to rent our current house for more than the mortgage cost. We have only applied to major banks. Should we try a small bank? We are running out of time to close on our dream house! Thank you for your answers...we are totally confused! more

Open Question: Anyone know how to use the Cheap airfare websites?

I have never planned a trip by flight before. Usually I go by train and as far as one rail service is concerned, I look in their website for the timetables or train departure/arrival schedules and when I see a time and day in which I want to travel I call the rail service and tell them that I want to reserve a ticket for say, the 6:00 am to Baltimore and they will take down my name address (etc) and this way they will hold the ticket for me at the train station for a few days until I come over and pay for it so as to use it for getting on the train. I cannot buy the ticket over phone because I don't have a credit card. But also, if I decide to cancel, I merely do not go to the train station to pick up the ticket and I won't be penalized for it. Now, my question to anyone whom has ever used the air flight websites for cheap fares, is it done the same way? I mean, I think that there are various web sites for low-price air fares and if I see a price for a flight that I want, do I call email , or somehow contact the website and pay through them? or do I call the airline directly and tell them that I heard that there is a flight for say, 1:00 pm to Orlando and tell them I want to reserve the ticket and have them hold the ticket for me until I come to the airport and pay and get the ticket, ( which I may not use for a few days by the way). Is that how it works? I heard that the cheap flights websites do not exactly work for the airlines whose lower-fare flights they post on their site and if you buy the ticket through the website you do not have the option of getting your money back if you cancel and/or you may have to pay by credit card only, not go to the airport and pay cash there to pick up the ticket ( as I have done with rail service). Can anyone provide information about how to use the cheap flight webistes? How to pay for tickets through them? Also as I mentioned, is it possible to just look up the information about inexpensive fares on the sites but instead of booking through the website, call the airline company directly and ask them about the flight that you heard about and arrange to pay for the ticket that way? Do they penalize you for canceling? Do you have to tell them if you cancel? Info please. I am not sure if I understand it all exactly.I don't have a credit card so I cannot buy a ticket over the internet more

Open Question: I am looking for the best credit card rewards program?

I am looking for the best credit card rewards program or programs for my situation. I spend around $90,000 per month (yes, $1,080,000 per year) on mortgages for rental units that I own. I am incorporated so the card(s) could be either personal or business cards. I would not roll over a balance month to month and would pay everything in full so the interest rate would not matter. I have excellent credit and currently do not have any credit cards. I currently pay the mortgage balances out of my checking account from the rent that I bring in on the units and never have any problems with making the payments. I think that my current situation of using straight cash for cash out of checking into the mortgages may be wasting an opportunity to earn credit card rewards every month for travel. I've had trouble finding anyone that spends the amount that I do monthly and I would be OK with getting several cards provided that they were a profitable venture. I do not really care what the annual fee is on the cards either, as long as I will receive dramatically more rewards than I am paying annual fees. Thanks! more

Open Question: Redeeming Discover Card Miles?

I am new to miles rewards so I was hoping someone could give me the bottom line in redeeming my miles. I have about 15,000 miles on my Miles Discover Card and was wondering what this translates to exactly. Does this mean literally that distance in travel or is it just an arbitrary term (i.e. $15,000 miles is just redeemed for a $150 credit)? Thanks for the help. more

Resolved Question: My wallet went missing! Have I taken all the right steps?

So Tuesday morning I was getting ready for work and I couldn't find my wallet, no matter where I looked. I knew I had it the day before (I bought something). I called the lost and found for the buses I take to work and no one called me back. I then called my bank to cancel my debit and credit card. I also had another credit card i use when I travel so I canceled that. I begun the process of getting a new license and called the credit agencies to put a fraud alert on. Finally I filed a report with the police. I think I did everything I could. Any other tips? Side question - what happens to pending charges on my credit card prior to it being lost/stolen? I had used the card on Saturday (I then cancelled the card Tuesday morning). Thanks! more

Voting Question: Now would this idea work as planned?

Use your credit card with a high cash back reward on it to pay for anything you'd normally buy, and put your cash it in a safe place. Once you reach your credit limit on your first credit card pay it off with your second credit card that offers free airline miles for every dollar. Now just simply pay off the second credit card with the cash you've been putting aside. You now have: Very high credit, extra cash back for everything you would normally buy (1-5%), and free miles to travel anywhere in the world. Not to mention great intrest rates on all your future loans and mortgages. more

Open Question: Am I requesting too much on a credit line increase?

I currently have a five-thousand dollar limit on one of my cards. I'd like to request five thousand more. I have good credit history, and I always pay the bill on time, but is asking for another five thousand asking for too much? I have not requested it yet, and I thought I'd research the topic a bit. From what I can gather so far, the answer to my question is a yes. But I figure since I've done business with these folks for over five years, and always made good with my payments, there's a chance. The thing is, I'm hoping to do some traveling at some point, hopefully this summer, and I'd also start using the card to pay rent as well. I've never requested a credit line increase before, and I'm slightly worried that if I get rejected, it will make my credit look bad.I have a job.....a low-paying job, but still a job. :-) The way things are going, I may be screwed no matter what in the future, and have to move back in with my parents next year, and thought I'd have some fun beforehand by going to England and Germany back-to-back this summer. I figure two or three weeks should be fine. Two weeks in England since I have family there, and could stay with them, rent free. Then on to Germany, and traveling from England to Germany would be a lot cheaper then traveling from America to Germany. more

Resolved Question: Is this possible to do?

Suppose Jack didn't pay a credit card bill in 2005. A debt scavenger buys the loan and Jack tells them to get bent because it's past the statute of limitations in his state. He gets a summons for a lawsuit in the mail. Can he tell the judge, "Your honor, I move to have this suit dismissed under my state's statute of limitation. The plaintiff can no longer legally recover this debt. In addition, I would like to file a counter claim against the plaintiff for travel time and lost wages pertaining to this matter. They have knowingly wasted the court's time and my time with this cause of action."So, instead of telling them to get bent he should simply walk into court and say, "Your honor. I move to have this suit dismissed on the grounds it is past the statute of limitations in this state." more

Resolved Question: Can the Marine Corps. tell you to take that rank off your collar?

I left on Sept. 23, 2011 on TDY for a 6 wk mission. I left fully anticipating promotion. I was pinned to Sgt on Oct 1, 2011. on Oct 3, 2011, I was told to take that rank off my collar. I was 2500 miles from my command and didn't know that I was "will not promote" due to lack of leadership. I requested mast and unfortunately had a phone conference request mast due to the distance from my command. The "will not promote" was brought on by two page-11 entries that I did not know even existed. They were dated and signed by the CO 13 July, 2011 and 9 Sept, 2011. My signature was not on them, due to my lack of their existence. These page-11 entries were for being past due on my GTCC, government travel credit card. I went to my fiscal about being paid and sent a bill and was told to just pay it an I'll get reimbursed later if it is approved. I simply couldn't afford that immediately and kept my chain of command up to date until paid in full. In my request mast, dated 29 Sept, 2011, my page-11 was due to lack of leadership. The response that i received was that "I am the CO and I make the final decision". Both units just keep pointing the finger at the other on whether everything was entered in MCTFS in a timely manner.I was also non-rec'ed in Jan, 2012 for lack of leadership and again in April, 2012 for lack of leadership. So 3 promotion periods and 3 non rec's for lack of leadership and i found out two days after being pinned the first time and the day before being promoted the last two times. I am in the AR program and so am only eligible quarterly. Im sure many are saying, "damn, he must be a turd". Well, I have been in 5 yrs, I have made every rank meritoriously, I am a black belt instructor, I am a CMC(combat marksmanship coach), I have a 294 cft and 285 pft, and avg pro and con marks of 4.5 4.5. oh, and i'm 31 yrs young. Does anyone have any insight or advice? Should I take this higher, take an EO route for age discrimination, or just suck it the f*#$ up? Being older and having two children; my pride, respect, trust, morale, wallet and love for the corps have all been adversly affected by what I feel is lack of my superiors leadership. oh, may need to add, haven't had a counseling since July 2011 to even know about my deficiencies. more

Resolved Question: Looking for a site where I can find public arrest records w/o a credit card.?

Im very careful about putting my credit card info online. Im searching for a site that doesnt require a card. I have sole custody of my son. His father ask to see him bout once every 3 months. I dont hv issues w that. What I do have issues w is that when I ask the Sheriff office if he has a warrant they wont tell. I dont want my son in his care if the law shows up and arrest him. Our Son is 3 y/o. We live in a small rural community and as you know word of mouth travels fast in these towns, but rumors do also. So Im trying to clear the air on the truth. Ofcourse when my ex is asked its always a lie. I dont want to keep our son from him, but there is a reason I have sole custody. Supposedly he has a warrant for contempt of court for his 1st offense dwi. Also a contempt of court in another town for 2nd offense dwi. Then ontop that was recently hit w another warrant for theft of water. Kept cutting lock on water meter and ran a bill up to 600. This is all I know of as of now. Aside from the rumors of him snorting stuff and taking pills. Now Im sure some will say "aw well if ur so worried why let him go if hes doing drugs?" Right? Well before I get those types of remarks, remember Im not the law nor and I the judge. Have to have proof of all. Plus I dont want it on my shoulders that I was a cold hearted ex that kept our son away from him too. Im trying to do right, but need a way to find if I hv worries I need to address properly. So a way to find where warrants out is a start.BTW I live In Louisiana... And ty! more

Midway thru his 21 day visit to the Philippines, he loses his wallet with his cash and credit card and debit card. Now, he has no money and still 2 weeks before his flight back home. What are his options?By the way, this is a hypothetical question to solicit advice from you to foreigners traveling abroaduéuzellewùiille, That is funny. Resolved Question: Did you think I got scammed?

Today I got a phone call from a number I didn't recognize. It was an automated voice telling me that if I took a quick survey I'd win a free cruise to the bahamas. I took the survey and it connected me to the cruise line (Carribbean Cruise Line). They told me all about the trip and all the upgrades I could make if I chose to. They took all my information, credit card number included. They gave me a phone number to call in order to book my vacation and a reservation number. I called it and it was a legitimate travel agency that books vacations, I just couldn't book mine because I had to wait 72 hours. But I asked the agent if there was a catch, or if I really get this 2 passenger cruise by spending $118, and she said there was no catch and it was legit. I don't know.. I feel like I may have gotten scammed. Do you think I did? Actually consider the fact that it may not be a scam before telling me that it is. and please no harsh comments. it's the last thing I need right now. more

Voting Question: What can I do about unfair credit card charges on fraudulent action?

I have been travelling for 7 months. I contacted my bank Lloyds TSB, around the beginning of March regarding a payment that had been taken out of my credit card without my consent. I told them I was travelling, and that I had not used my card for months, and if they needed to contact me they should do it by email as I am travelling. They said the process was for me to try and get in touch with the people who were taking the money, tell them to stop and get a cancellation code, then to get back in touch with Lloyds TSB with the cancellation code so we could sort it together. In the meantime they said they would freeze the payment so I don’t get any interest added or extra charges added. Since then, I have been in touch with the people taking the money and they have stopped the payments coming out but they have since ignored my request for a cancellation code. Lloyds TSB however have not done anything they said. A letter was sent to my home address after 1 month saying that the case has now been closed and on the same day charged me a late payment fee of £12.00 and interest of £6.00 on the £36.00 that had come out. At no time did anyone inform me that there was a time limit on this process, and they did not email me informing me of this change. I have tried to email Lloyds TSB, but with no reply! As you can imagine, I don't want to pay these extra charges for something I have not used, and I do not want to pay this withdrawal made against me. I do not feel like Lloyds TSB have been fair in dealing with the situation and are condoning the fraud made against me and persecuting me for it. Anyone have any ideas what I can do? more

Resolved Question: How to solve my relationship problem?

Hi all, Basically I am with this man right now. He's a nice guy. But there has always been some problems. 1. He lives with his ex. They were together for about 8 or 9 years. Broke up, but they are still room mates. His ex is also dating other guys now but it makes me feel.....grossed out sometimes when I am reminded of that fact. They are still best friends, and they hangout alone quite a bit, like, just the two of them. Maybe twice a week? Perhaps I am just not mature enough to handle this kind of thing, but I wanna know if that's normal. I mean with all my past relations, I have no problem that my bf is friends with his ex, but i think being room mates and hangout that much is a bit extreme. 2. This leads to another problem, he likes to hangout with both me and his ex, like the three of us together. Both of them don't have a car, so sometimes I have to drive both of them for a dinner date, and it makes me so....icky inside. I cannot tell him how I feel because he told me that he used to date this other girl and she had problem with his ex so that's why he dumped her. So I am reluctant to even talk about this issue at all. He doesn't really have a whole lot of friends, and he talks about his ex quite a lot. Like how they had shower sex and stuff before, which just makes me feel really uncomfortable inside. It bugs me even more than I sometimes he expect me to be good friends with his ex. 3. He's almost ten years older than me, but he never really work hard, financially, and he's not very good with money. He's still working part-time for retail, and he's in quite some debt for credit card and student loan and a lot of other things.and yet he's always spending money, wanting to travel and get some really expensive hobbies. Whenever I told him to be careful with his money, he just say "can't you just be happy for me that I am going on a trip?" That would mute me. Because of his money issue, I always pay for dinner and gas and everything else 90% of the time. I don't feel secure with his attitude. Money is not a big issue for me, I am a working professional and I don't mind paying. But I feel that I am his mom, taking care of everything, while he's 10 years older than me. 3. He's not really sexually interested in me or something. He rather take care of that on his own rather than doing it with me. I am not the hottest person in the world, but I do have quite a bit of suitors and people say that I look pretty cute. I am just so confused on what to do. That's all I can think of for now, I hope someone can help me solve all my misery...... more

Resolved Question: Can I go to a hotel if my parents book a room in Alabama?

Or would I be able to bribe a motel myself? When I go I'm going to be only 16. (15 atm.) I'm going to see a friend who is going off to the marines in the summer. So I want to see him before he goes. While it'd be easier for me to tell my mom the truth, she'd ask too many questions. And I rather go by myself. IF I MUST, I'll ask her take me but I don't think she'd be able to anyway because she's pregnant. And when I want to go, my little sister is only gonna be about.. Idk.. 6 months old. So I know she can't travel. So if she books a hotel, can I stay? Or can I bribe lol My friend is (obviously) 18 so he could book a room for me when I get there buuuuuttt, Does he NEED a credit card? And can he present another ID other than a license? He didn't obtain one cause he couldn't find his birth certificate. X) no I can't stay in his house he lives with 5 sisters his mom and step dad. more

Resolved Question: Is it legal for my employer to mandate I get a particular credit card in my name for business purposes?

My employer requires you to get an American Express Corporate Card in your own name. Resolved Question: Does she owe me money or am I in the wrong? Please help!?

Ok so, my friend and I were supposed to go to an event in the summer in Chicago (we are from Canada) I had paid for both our tickets on my credit card at $190 each. I paid off my credit card but he decided it was to expensive and did not want to go. I could get a full refund at that point so it was ok and I found another friend to go with.As of February first they could only refund half the money for the tickets. I explained this to my friend and she agreed and promised not to bail out on me. So we began to make plans on how to get there and how much everything would cost. (no money was exchanged) We both got busy with school so we went a few weeks without talking about it. Last night I emailed her asking to meet up and talk about final details. She said she could not go anymore as her family decided to go to Mexico. (we are 19 so its not like she HAD to go) She knew that I could only get half the money back but she didn't seem to care. She told me to put out an add online to find someone to go with but being a 19 year old girl traveling to another country I really do not want to go with a complete stranger. So my question is since I can only get half the money back on each ticket and she knew that does she owe me money? Or is it my problem and I have just lost out on $190. I am confused and really don't know what to do I have paid for both the tickets at $190 and put a down payment down on the hotel. more

Resolved Question: Is immigration going to be suspicious if I marry a much older US Cittizen?

I am currently in the US, I entered here legally. I have been dating a man for a few months. He is a lot older than me he is more than 25 years older than me I am in my twenties he is in his 50's. He told me he fells in love with me and wants to get married. if I marry him will I get a green card and become US citizen? How long does it take for me to get green card? Resolved Question: Is taking care of girl-friend's finances makes you a bad person?

Due to some financial problem with my GF i started helping her out, not financially all the time but in trying to control her expenses( she doesn't let me spend on her purchases). We're in long distance relationship so when she told me she wanted to visit me for the next 2 consecutive months, I didn't agree to that because of high airfares prevailing these days. And the last thing i want is another credit card debt issues for her(last time i bailed her out). I also want to meet her every month but it just isn't possible due to the distance and the air-fares and we both are not living on our own so budget is a very important thing for both of us. Where as i can afford it but she doesn't want me to spend for the travel all the time. Now we'd a fight because she wanted to come every month and since i know she won't let me pay for the airfare, i told her to reduce the number of trips to 1 from 2. What am i doing wrong here?? more

Resolved Question: I need opinions on credit cards. I do a lot of driving but I do a lot of flying as well.?

I travel a lot for work. I drive a lot and fly a lot for work as well as pleasure. Right now I have an Amex credit card that offers percentages back based on purchase. The biggest percentage is 3% given back on gasoline. But as of recently I have been contemplating getting a strictly miles based credit card. Is it worth is to switch to a miles based credit card? I am torn and need opinions. Also if I do decide to switch what is the best card to use. Mind you I don't care about the yearly cost ofr the card. more

Voting Question: Do you have to pay full fare to redeem credit card miles?

I am trying to decide on what type of rewards credit card to get. I've narrowed down the two airfare miles cards to the Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier ($99 annual fee) and the Capital One Venture card ($59 annual fee.) The Chase/Southwest card is only good on Southwest (and maybe AirTran, which SWA just bought.) The Capital One card is good for any airline and there are no blackout dates (at least none imposed by Capital One.) The Chase/Southwest card gives a 25,000 mile (about $480 towards the price of a ticket) bonus after the first purchase and the Capital One card gives only 10,000 miles ($100). The Capital One card gives 2 miles for every dollar spent, and the Chase card gives only 1 mile for every dollar spent, unless it is on Southwest airfare or other travel with one of Southwest's partners. The Southwest card also gives 6,000 ($100) bonus miles on every anniversary of receiving the card. However, the Southwest miles expire after two years, and the Capital One miles have no expiration date. For the Chase card, the miles convert to dollars at a ratio of 60 to 1. So, for every 60 miles, it is worth $1.00 towards the price of the ticket. For the Capital One card, it is one percent, so you have to spend 100 miles to get $1.00 towards the price of the ticket. Since you get 2 miles for every dollar on the Venture card, it is actually a 50 to 1 ratio in terms of dollars spent to cash back. My title question is really for the Capital One Venture card as it does not apply to Southwest Airlines: In order for me to redeem those miles, would I have to purchase a full fare ticket, or can I buy a ticket via a travel website like Expedia? I don't travel for business, so the only trips I take are personal vacations. Should I just skip airline miles rewards cards completely and just go for a cash back (or points) card like the Citi Thank You card? Thanks.According to the Chase/Southwest and Capital One websites, the miles do translate into dollars towards the ticket cost (or hotel or rental car). I guess if the credit card were airline specific like the cards for miles on American, United (Continental), or Delta, then they would not have any fare conversion, as it would be just be direct miles-to-miles credit. My question does not matter for Southwest, as their convert to dollars towards the already-discounted "wanna get away?" fare, and they don't do business with the discounted travel/airfare websites. more

Resolved Question: Harassment and false fees from a lying motel staff - what do I do?!?

I went to a motel for an extended stay with my fiance. It's a cheap motel, mind you (we didn't have a lot of options at the time) - and apparently you get what you pay for. Bugs in the room, a "jacuzzi" upstairs that not only doesn't work but has the faucet and knobs taken out completely (yet you still pay for it), and owned by an angry Indian couple who barges into your room every 3-4 days to clean whether you like it or not and peers out their windows at you constantly, VERY intrusive!! We had a friend stop by a couple of times and they would call us up and say NO VISITORS - or hilariously, make our phone ring just once as if to let us know "we're watching you" - when our friends were only there like 20 minutes tops. We were out late one night quietly talking and they literally came outside to say "GO TO YOUR ROOM, IS BED TIME NOW." and then glare out their window at us for half an hour. We turned on the lights one night and a light bulb literally spontaneously caught on fire!! Freaking INSANE. So, here's the cherry on top and the issue I need help with... In addition to harassing us every few days and never taking "Hey we're asleep" or "Can we do this tomorrow" for an answer with their cleaning - one day they came in to clean, we stepped outside while they were at work, and next thing we know we're getting chewed out for 10 minutes straight about a torn blanket. Now we were never rough on that bed, and we NEVER saw that tear until that day - and suddenly in like ten minutes while we were outside, it was there in plain sight with them demanding 55 dollars to pay for it. We were shocked. Not to mention, the day before there was some stupid thing I can't recall that they'd peered out their window at us and gotten naggy about (if we ever stepped outside to smoke [mind you they provided ash trays outside, so it was perfectly fine to do so] they spent the entire time watching us), and SUDDENLY they decide to clean and bring this up...it was very suspicious. Then I find a review on Yahoo! Travel saying someone else has had the same thing happen to them, false fees charged after cleaning. So we knew what was up - they were trying to get extra money from us and we KNOW we did not tear that blanket, our best guess is they must have done something while we were outside and blamed us for it and tried to get money for it. Long story short, we left a day early because we were tired of being constantly harassed and treated like crap, and I got tired of staring at a bunch of tiny bugs every time I went to the restroom (freaking disgusting!!!), we got ourselves out of there. And before we left I went and talked to them and said "Look, we're leaving early - how about instead of asking you for a refund for the extra days we're not staying here, we just call it even and you drop this fee? Because you and I both know that my fiance and I did not tear that blanket and no madam, I will not give you my credit card." I got yelled at and the owner demanded my money, finally we just put our foot down and said "No" and left. Then I find that my card was charged ANYWAYS. Without my permission. They had my card number from before apparently (note to self: next time pay cash) and they used it to take whatever they pleased. I am now filing a claim with my bank because of this mess. The bank says all they can do is go talk to the hotel staff - well of course if the hotel owners are willing to LIE to get extra money from us, they aren't going to suddenly say "oh sure you can have it back, we totally lied LOL" now are they? So. What next? I don't appreciate money being taken from me like this, not to mention the insects, the constant harassment and things bursting into flames in my room when I flick on a light switch. Do I call a lawyer, or call the police, or what?? more
