Open Question: Why did she lead me on?
I knew this girl for about 4 years and we were real, real close and openly had strong feelings for each other. We didn't take it further because of distance trouble and an age gap, it was an issue back then because she was 14 I was 16. We both went into different relationships. After another two years I was in her city everyday as I study at a uni there. We met up and spoke constantly and were back to our old ways. I told her I had feelings for someone and didn't tell her who it was for weeks as she was eager to know. When I told her it was her she said she thought it was and was cool with it, we continued as normal. We spoke all the time, said I was 'the only one she could talk to about anything', she wanted to travel the world with me, got angry when other girls shown interest in me, annoyed when I didn't talk to her one night, wanted time for just me and her to go out without her friends, we trusted each other with everything, there is a lot more but I can't think at the moment. Basically all positive signs. Then after 4 months, it meant nothing, she had the chance to say 'not interested' from day one but she thought about it for a couple of days and was fine with me. We had a massive argument and haven't spoke in 5-6 months. I saw her last week and refused to talk to her and give her eye contact even though I could see her best friend looking over at me constantly. I know I'm being stupid, it's been ages, she treated me like shit and I know I deserve better. But I can't get her out of my head, still! I dunno :) moreOpen Question: Math sequences word problem, please help!?

I'm trying to think of a way out of a sci-fi situation and need help. Folks are stuck on a spaceship. It was trying out a new thing that would open up a wormhole to do a warp/jump style of travel. It failed, came out the other side surrounded by some sort of temporal anomaly that trap other ships that come to rescue it. People from all sorts of ships (and even other time periods) are now stuck on this ship. I'm not sure what exactly is happening but I guess ships just break down in some way once they reach the stranded ship. My thought was to have some kind of laser guided machine that sends a distress signal. You take the relatively simple machine, control/communicate with it with the laser out to a distance beyond the anomaly and wait for a ship to rendezvous with IT (not the trapped ship). Then you take some kind of small shelter, maybe even just a space suit w/enough O2, and follow the laser line yourself out to the waiting ship instead of dealing with a broken down spacecraft. It would be dangerous but that's what I thought of. Does that make sense, is it ridiculous, or is there another way off? Unfortunately i have no more info on the stranded ship, details are scarce. moreOpen Question: Everything in Life is a Frequency and thoughts have frequency?
All thoughts are thought of a frequency. Is Science coming close to proving this? When do you think they will prove this? Peace everyone :) ---------------------------------------------- CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD by Neale Donald Walsch - Book 1, Chapter 13 Nothing occurs in your life - nothing - which is not first a thought. Thoughts are like magnets, drawing effects to you. The thought may not always be obvious, and thus clearly causative, as in "I'm going to to contract a terrible disease." The thought may be (and usually is) far more subtle than that. ("I am a loser.") ("God is going to punish me.") ("I am sick and tired of my life!") Thoughts are very subtle, yet extremely powerful, for of energy. Words are less subtle, more dense. Actions are the most dense of all. Action is energy in heavy physical form, in heavy motion. When you think, say, and act out of a negative concept such as "I am a loser," you place tremendous creative energy into motion. Small wonder you come down with a cold. That would be the least of it. It is very difficult to reverse the effects of negative thinking once they have taken physical form. Not impossible - but very difficult. It takes an act of extreme faith. It requires an extraordinary belief in the positive force of the universe - whether you call that God, Goddess, the unmoved mover, prime force, first cause, or whatever. Healers have just such faith. It is a faith that crosses over into absolute knowing. They know that you are meant to be whole, complete, and perfect in this moment now. This knowingness is also a thought - and a very powerful one. It has the power to move mountains - to say nothing of molecules in your body. That is why healers can heal, often even at a distance. Thought knows no distance. Thought travels around the world and traverses the universe faster than you can say the word. "Say but the word and may servant shall be healed" And it was so, in that selfsame hour, even before his sentence was finished. Such was the faith of the centurion. Yet you are all mental lepers. Your mind is eaten away with negative thoughts. Some of these are thrust upon you. Many of these you actually make up - conjure up - yourselves, and then harbor and entertain for hours, days, weeks, months - even years... and you wonder why you are sick. You can "solve some of the health problems," as you put it, by solving the problems in your thinking. Yes, you can heal some of the conditions you have already acquired (given yourself) as well as prevent major new problems from developing. And you can do this all by changing your thinking. moreOpen Question: What are some tips for long traveling?

Sounds a little odd, but it's been bugging me for a while. What if I was in a ship traveling between two planets, going at the speed of light. Say there was a meteor directly in my path. I live about an hour's drive away from my parents at college. They're town is little and rural.. And I live in the next city. There is really nothing between us. I have a had time getting home to them because there is no transportation between.. Trains or buses don't run to them (or even anywhere in that direction to get me closer), i don't have a car.. Too young to rent a car.. Don't know anyone else traveling that way.... Really my only option to visit is if they come and pick me up. I live with a friend, and my parents know her quite well as we've been friends for a long time. My parents lately have been using the excuse of "we just don't have the money for that." That's they're excuse for not calling me. That's their excuse for not visiting or picking me up. Thats their excuse for not mailing me a birthday card. It's their excuse for everything. Most recently, it's their excuse for not getting me one thing (or chipping in for one thing) for me for Christmas (i really need a new cellphone so that's all I asked for). Now, having no money is a reasonable excuse, and completely fine by me, because I can support myself. Thing is, I know that's not true. My parents are constantly buying extravagant new items. They never buy new clothes or anything basic like that, but in the last year they've blown unreasonable amounts of money on a new tv, microwave, toaster, showerhead, stove, etc. (And when I say unreasonable.. they shop top-of-the-line.. so the cheapest item.. the toaster.. was over $150 dollars). They have no debt or anything else. So you can (hopefully) see why it annoys me when I call my parents and they say "sorry we haven't called you for 2 months but long distance is sooo expensive, we just can't afford it" or "I don't know if we can come pick you up for Christmas, gas is too much, so you'll have to find another way home for Christmas.... but your coming home." when I know they've just spend thousands of dollars on a new stove. But they can't spend 30 cents to call me, and use money as the excuse. Now, my roommates parents, combined, make about 2/5ths of what my dad makes. They don't shop as high-end, but they have many nice things. They afford new clothes, a nice house, 2 cars, no debts, etc. My parents always ask about my roommate, for example, they asked what she got (is getting) for Xmas.. and I said her parents bought her a new blackberry (which they did.... $600.. she already knows about it)...and her parents visit every 2 weeks or so (also live an hour away) For that, my parents will say "well, i guess they make a lot more money than us".. I know for a fact that isn't true.. How do I respond when my parents are always using money as an excuse? When I'm told I'll have to call them because they can't afford to call me? When I'm told they can't afford to see me at Christmas,,, But then I see all the new, extravagant things they have in their house? It's driving me INSANE!!! Just thought I'd note I'm 19 and have been living away from them for about 2 years... In that time they have not given me (nor have I asked) for a single cent. I'm completely independent of them. I paid for my own schooling and house, surgery, everything. It's not like they're sending me regular checks to help with rent or anything like that and just trying to show me independence. @cookiesandmilk2008.. not offended.. it was a good answers... They're pretty open about their finances and I know they have no debts... Though I must admit, (I go back and forth between calling myself a student and saying I work full time because I do both), because of my internship, I lead a pretty good life for a college student. I've never had to deal with not being able to pay my rent or have money for food... I've always been able to have a lot of what I want (within reason of course).. I guess I got lucky with getting a good job early... Also, we're in Canada so the financial crisis hasn't hit us bad... yet... Only really people with investments have had to worry about it. moreOpen Question: HELP on Math!!!Best Answer will get 10 points....?

Im not asking you to help me with all, but if you want to thats great! thank you so much for your time! (1)a 3.0 kg block is accelerated from rest by a compressed spring of spring constant 640 N/m. The block leaves the spring at the spring's relaxed length and then travels over a horizontal floor with a coefficient of kinetic friction μk = 0.224. The frictional force stops the block in distance D = 7.4 m. What is the original compression distance of the spring? (2)Two children are playing a game in which they try to hit a small box on the floor with a marble fired from a spring-loaded gun that is mounted on a table. The target box is horizontal distance D = 2.41 m from the edge of the table; see Fig. 8-46. Bobby compresses the spring 1.15 cm, but the center of the marble falls 17.8 cm short of the center of the box. How far (in cm) should Rhoda compress the spring to score a direct hit? Assume that neither the spring nor the ball encounters friction in the gun. (3) a block of mass m = 17 kg is released from rest on a frictionless incline of angle θ = 25°. Below the block is a spring that can be compressed 4.9 cm by a force of 160 N. The block momentarily stops when it compresses the spring by 6.0 cm. (a) How far does the block move down the incline from its rest position to this stopping point? (b) What is the speed of the block just as it touches the spring?...the spring and box is on a slope shaped sorta like this: /| but of course the slope isnt that steep! moreOpen Question: Physics Horizontal Distance problem!?

My story is a very sad one. I met this guy when i was 19 and he was 27. Things happened quite quickly and a week after we started 'dating', although he said we could not commit, we kept seeing each other not seriously for months. unf, i got pregnant and he did not want the baby, so he pressured me for an abortion. I did it in the end, it was the most horrible experience of my life, but my worst memory of that was that i saw he kept a picture of an ex on his wallet and the Worst of all after it was all done and i woke up he told me : i am happy you did it! can you imagine how painful it feels to hear smth like that. with time, i kind of tried to move on and we kept together, however i found out things he was hiding from me at the beginning of the relationship (even going to visit an ex in another continent, whom he would look at pictures very often) but i let that go and kept with him. as time went by, things really got bad, i started to become very suspicious of him, and did not trust him much really even though i really loved him, but seeing strange emails from girls made me kind of wonder all the time, is it another ex he is not over and at any point he might just leave me. the truth is, i never really felt deeply that he loved, there was always so much distance and confusion with him, one day he is so much into you, the following when everything was fine he would say smth like i was taking his freedom.. he wanted always to travel only with his friends, even though the weekends were the only time we could be together, cuz we were in different cities, he would prefer to go out and party with his friends instead of coming to be with me, and worst sometimes i would be with him and he asked me to leave cuz he wanted to he with a friend:( i really dont know why i never left this guy, but worst for me i just got more and more attached to him, we kept breaking up and coming back untill i got pregnant again and hurtful enough he would tell his friends he was hoping for an abortion, does that sound like someone who loves you? it doenst but i kept hoping and hoping, even when he hit me once while i was pregnant cuz he was so drunk that he oculdnt recognise me and threw water at this face.. after a few months of so much stress i lost the baby and he was happy about it, and left me soon after i did, not caring about me, not trying to support me, like i was a disease with which he did not want to deal with. It has been months, but i still think of him, i cannot forget even knowing that now he is seeing a woman who has a baby from someonelse, but did not want mine, whom was his.. but i still cry when i think of him,, how do i forget? i have been travelling, going out, meeting people, but nothing seems to help.... moreOpen Question: math question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

What is the relationship between paradoxes and logic? How can I trust logic when some times logic tells me one thing but in reality something different occurs? For example traveling from one point to another, logically I have to travel half the distance before getting there, then I will have to travel half way between the halfway point and the end, and again half way from this piont to the end and so on and so on. The problem is this goes on for infinity and in essence would mean I would have to travel through a infinite number of half way points, and so logically the time taken would also be infinite. But in reality we get from one point to another quite easily. moreResolved Question: Find the maximum height reached by the ball. ...and How far from where it was hit, does the ball hit the ?
