Open Question: I love him but I can't stop crying, should I stay with him?

So I've been dating this guy for 13 months now. We seem perfect for each other, when I'm with him I can't be happier. But lately, I feel like he's taking me for granted and/or getting bored. He claims to not be, but he stopped calling. I rarely see him outside of school, and only for a brief few minutes between classes at that. I send him messages on facebook, just to say hi and he doesn't reply. It makes me cry. It seems like he only calls on me when he feels like it. He doesn't do any sweet little things just for the hell of it, and the amount of money he spends on gifts has gone way down. I get him a $100 toy helicopter and he gets me a $5 book (i know its not the money, but i know how much he loves helicopters and i wanted to make him happy and im not sure what he was thinking with the book) and when i travel i usually pick something up for him, even if its something tiny. I always think of him, and he claims to always think of me but I don't really think he does anymore. I try and confide in him with my problems and he shrugs them off just ignoring them. I've been going through rough stuff lately and it seems like he just assumes I won't leave him and half-asses any attempt at comfort. He lives 10 minutes away from me and i rarely see him. I miss him constantly, and I'm always left alone while i know he's with a family that loves him. I don't know anymore. It hurts too much. more

Open Question: Traveling with toy breed via plane.need advice/tips?

Some of you may know that we were planning on having Lacey boarded and many of you gave us great feedback.Some advice we did take on looking for specifics in boarding places vs the vet's boarding. We decided to bring her with us to the big island.The airlines we will be going with is pet friendly <20 pounds. We have got a pet carrier for her,portable water bottle,treats,dry food, waste bags,bringing her bowls,her favorite stuffed animal.We're getting her distemper done & we'll get her health certificate from her dr. Open Question: Creative Vado HD which generation?

I am planning to buy a Vado HD to document my travels, as well as an upcoming concert. I have been researching for months, and I have finally decided to go with the Creative Vado. However, I am still struggling to choose between the Vado HD's 1st or 3rd generation. The Vado 1st generation from what I have seen provides better videos and in my opinion looks better, it can also fits amazing lens additions (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSsIUGKKeFw&feature=related) although I'm not sure if it would fit the 3rd generation's. But the 3rd gen has picture taking capabilities (big plus for me), a external mic jack (Vado is known for its bad quality audio) and you can control the color/contrast, but the video quality is not up to par with the 1st gen, it's also built like a toy. I'm really confused, which one would you pick? more

Voting Question: Science Experiment, how does the angle of incline affect the speed of a toy car?

OK, so i need help on my sceince report thingy. i need to know what to write, this is what i have so far: The higher or greater the angle the faster the toy car will travel, this is due to gravity. We are taking a trip to the zoo in about 2 weeks. We have never really been on vacation or stayed overnight anywhere besides the in laws since my 16 month old was born. She loves her Mickey Mouse ride on toy, so I was wondering whether or not I would be allowed to take it to the hotel with us. I know usually most parents take little toys that fit in a bag, but she isn't really interested in anything besides building blocks (which I plan on taking) and her ride on toy. I know many hotels have restrictions on things, so I have no idea whether this would be one of them or not. We are going on the trip for 3 days and my husband has some work to do while we are there, so my daughter and I will be in the hotel room by ourselves for a period of time, which is why I wanted to take something to keep her entertained, and her ride on toy is her favorite. Its a regular size ride on push toy. I just don't want to take it all that way and have something said about having it in the room. We really haven't traveled enough to know hotel policy on things and seeing as how we are going on another trip in June to Dolly wood, I would really like to know. more

Hello,I am about to embark on my bravest journey yet....travel a cross atlantic flight with my 15 month old son. before you think I have gone completely crazy....let me quickly add that the reason is to meet my entire family and friends who live there. SO the crazy idea.Anyway....since i cant reason with him much, I cant talk him into submission or quietening him...I know toys might be good but his attention span is small so I cant expect him to be engrossed in anythng for too long. Am I doomed? of course he wont get his own seat amd they MIGHT give me a car seat...but I am not sure how much he will want to sit on his....the only thing I am hoping for is that he sleeps for at least the first leg of the journey...since its a night flight.I am flying British Airways. Resolved Question: I am trying to get custody of my son whom lives with his grandparents?

They have had them for 4 years, I am military and now married to a wonderful woman and I know she will be an amazing mother to him. My parents have sole custody of him and have been telling me they WANT my wife and I to have him, but now CPS got involved because of some really bad issues with my parents and the way they are taking care of him ie.....teaching him to shoot a 22 rifle at the age of four. (Please know that Im not the reason why my parents have him, my ex wife neglected him as a baby while I was away in training so CPS said either my parents take him or he goes into foster care). I love my son so much and I just want him back. My wife and I have everything ready for him to move in (a really nice fully furnished room with toys and clothes). Now my parents are saying that I have to meet CPS requirement and because Im active military I wont be able to just pick up and leave whenever my parents want me to, I wont get him. My son knows who I am, we talk on the phone and web cam every moment I can and I visit whenever I get the time and money to travel. My parents are saying thats not enough. Hi, I'm 21 and very confused. Live with parents. Boring office job which I don't want to do, it just is not me. And only have GCSE's. I have been toying with the idea of going to Uni, however, I have never truly been interested in university and besides, I would not know what course to do. Since I was a teenager I've wanted to become a police officer, however no where in UK is recruiting right now. I do not want to stick with the office job, and I want a bit of excitement, challenges and to push my comfort barrier. I LOVE travelling and learning about new cultures, I have always wanted to travel for a year or two and thought that teaching English as a foreign language would be a good approach as I can work and earn some money for travelling whilst still working and keeping my CV looking good as it is providing life experience as well as work experience. Teaching TEFL and travelling seems to tick all my ambitious and complex objectives however I always come to: "Well after 1or2 years when I return back to England I will be in the same position as I am now. Still living with parents with a boring job, or no job". On the flip side, the police may be recruiting by that time.... OR I may enjoy it that much I carry on being a TEFL in England on a low wage (As it is not a high fly career) So I am very confused and do not know if teaching/travelling for a year will be a big bonus and great time of my life, or 2years wasted back in the same position as I am now. Can anyone advise on whether they think it is the right choice to go, or if they think it is a waste of time. Is anyone or has anyone been in this position, and what did you choose? Ok I seen this movie a long time ago, I think it's either a middle to late 80's movie, maybe early 90's... It was about a group of strangers, I don't remember all of them but it was like a punk rock chick with her punk rock boyfriend or maybe it was two punk rock chicks, a mother her husband and their daughter, the movie was mainly about the little girl, and like a fat guy. They all were traveling one night in the rain and their cars broke down or something so they all ended up showing up at this old Mansion like house at different times of the night...There was a old man and his wife that lived there and they had a bunch of dolls... I think the dolls liked the little girl because she kept sneaking around the house and was talking to the toys and the fat guy found the little girl roaming around so he tried to take her to her room but he noticed how the dolls were alive so he and the little girl tried to tell her parents but no one believed him... Resolved Question: Baby rabbit tips/ideas?

Hi everyone, I have had my little dwarf rabbit for a week now. I've got the basics down - alfalfa, food/water, cardboard tubes and a cardboard "hut" for him to play in. He is pretty much litter trained. I have replaced the pine bedding in his cage with a towel mat which I am thrilled about - no more shavings all over the place! And he is getting lots of out-of-cage playtime. I am in love with this little guy!! I've never had a bunny before, and so far this has been a wonderful experience. He is so soft and snuggly - he does not resist being picked up (except he does not seem to like men very much). He LOVES being held despite what I have read about his breed not being very social. Sometimes I hang a loosely tied wide scarf around my neck and he sits in it and takes a little nap (like a baby sling that moms use - don't worry, he is perfectly secured and I always keep one hand on him). That way I can easily hold him and do my homework at the same time. I am wondering what are some ideas I have not thought of for him? I have only had cats before and they are very different since rabbits are prey animals. He does not chase toys or pounce on my feet while I walk. And despite hearing about how rabbits chew things up, I have never seen him chew on anything. Should I get him a salt/mineral wheel? What other kind of toys do bunnies like, and what are some unique ideas of things your bunnies like to do? And finally, next weekend, we are travelling out of town for a couple days and bringing him along. The trip is an hour and a half. He has a carrier - can he ride in that for the whole trip? Will he need to go to the bathroom during that time? We are bringing his cage, but I don't want him in it during the car ride because he and the food and water dishes will slide around and he could get hurt. Any tips for first time travel w/ a rabbit? Voting Question: How do I let someone go?

Obviously we will both be hurt and there's no magic secret to stop that. But i'm just wondering if there's any tips and tricks to stop loving/ forgetting about someone. Is it easier to cut off all contact or to still remain friends? I'll give you some background info: Me and my boyfriend (of 3 years) decided early on in the relationship we would never have children. This was mainly because I said I didn't want them but also because he's a Muslim (I'm raised a catholic but pretty indifferent to religion) and he'd want them to be Muslim. I told him a few months I wanted children at some point and if he'll think about whether we can raise them as catholic and muslim and just teach them the morals and values of both since they are pretty similar. He said he'd think about it. It was some big huge compromise I planned whereby they go to a catholic school (as in ours we was taught about all religions) but they can refrain from eating pork etc. I want go into my compromise too much but it was pretty decent I thought. Anyway, I got tired of waiting and recently asked him if he had an answer, he had decided no, though he did say "I wish you would of given me more time to decide". However, I think he was just saying that to annoy me because he was busy with work at the time rather than given me the impression that if I had gave him more time he would of decided differently. Anyway, I have been staying with him for a week (due to being on a break at college/uni), the 2nd day I got here we both cried and we decided to not see each other once I go back home (We are at uni in different cities, about a 2:30 hour train journey). I don't expect him to of changed his mind by Sunday and it was a difficult choice. I just can't imagine being with the same person for 60+ years and it just being us two, with no children. I mean, sure you can travel but I think I would get lonely and bored with no children. And yes i've considered raising my children Muslim but me and my boyfriend already celebrate christmas and easter (as I do so he does as well) and I would much rather my children be able to decide their own religion (I was raised in a household with roman catholic, protestant, buddhist, jew and muslim) as I learnt about all religions growing up and I think it's the best way as you learn to respect different cultures much more. Anyway, we've been together for 3 years, spending every second of every day together on our breaks. Should we just stop talking to each other? Call each other every now and again? I will miss him terribly but I think not talking will hurt me so much as he's my best friend. I don't see either of us changing our minds and the decision to walk away and leave has been horrible. I guess we both hoped each other would change our minds eventually but we haven't. I have been toying with the idea of just being together while we can until we meet someone new or until one of us wants to move on but I think we will both be hurt more if we stay together longer. I think it really is time to leave. Does anyone know a way in which we can forget about each other? Or to be able to step into the "friend" category? Thank you :) more

She can time travel (and also teleport while she's timetraveling), but each time she time travels, any action she had done to the world would be reset. So she could start a war and destroy countries, then time travel back to the same date, and have everything back to normal. It annoys her and turned her into an arrogant girl who messes with the world just because she can. Then she starts to mess with a boy she happened to come across and notices he's different ... different as in he is starting to remember her when no one else before did. Yup, it's fantasy and romance. Anyways, here are the summaries I came up with, choose the one that would pull you in the most to read the story! Summary 1: Isis didn’t know why she existed, all she knew was that she could travel through time, and the world was just her playground to mess with as she saw fit. Humans were just toys to play with, nothing but mere scum. Well, that’s what she thought before she met him. Summary 2: Isis claimed she was like a God, one who could travel through time at will. I have a red fronted conure and its playfull and nice and stuff but it gets bored and flies randomly so it can get picked up. we put it in it's cage whenever it does this but it keeps climbing around and moaning so it can get out. We want to get the bird to enjoy it's cage so it want bother us and we want to build some toys for it but have no idea what to do for it.... It's wings are trimmed and its flight ability sucks, but it can travel enough distance, i'd say around 30ft.OMG its always out of its cage. and it often comes on my shoulder infact its something amazingly regular. more

So I today I had to take my dog back to my parent's house as I will going on holiday/vacation soon so they are looking after him for a while. I have to travel by public transport as I do not train (bus/train). Usually whenever my dog goes out we let him carry a toy with him as it keeps him occupied and distracts him from other dogs (which make him nervous). However, today (because I had tons of bags and him to deal with), I decided to not bring one with me as I wouldn't be able to carry it with me should he decide to forget it or leave it somewhere, which he sometimes does. I took him to the park before we set off so he could have a quick run and relieve himself, but obviously I did not have his toy with me. He knows that as soon as he is off his lead, it is time to play and was obviously excited, but because he had no toy with him, he ran to the nearest thing that looked like him... which unfortunately happened to be this guy's football. He lunged for it and wouldn't let go for a good couple of minutes, the the guy hanging onto the other end. Luckily he saw the funny side but I keep thinking, what if he had been a 10 year old child? He's a very strong dog would have knocked them flying. I am really concerned about this. My parents have just laughed it off but it really worried me that Hooch would just run up to a stranger and grab his possession, just so he could play. I am worried that I cannot let him off his lead now with one of his toys. He won't walk without one of them and gets very agitated if he does not have something to "carry". Resolved Question: My puppy goes a little crazy in the evening?

My border collie puppy is a great little guy even though he is only 10 week old he is very obedient indoors (needs a little work outside) and good on the lead. He is ideal in all the situations that people warned me about - we don't hear a peep out of him all night and he travels well and doesn't nip at all. However, in the evening a couple of hours before bed he goes a little crazy. He throws his toys around, sprints around the house and turns into a little sod. He sometimes even pees in the middle of the floor although he is fully toilet trained the rest of the time. I tend to just let him get through his hissy fit and exhaust himself but i don't know if this is the right thing to do. Anytime i try to interact with him when he is like this it seems to have a negative effect because he seems to just get even more hyper. Should i just leave him to it or is there something i should be doing? He gets plenty of exercise and stimulation and sleep for a 10 week old pup. Thanks more

Resolved Question: Should we get a puppy even though we have a older Golden Retriever?

He's 10 years old but will be 10 and a half when we would get the puppy (this spring.) He's everything to us and we really want to make him happy. How active he still is: He is still very hyper for a 10 year old dog. He runs around a lot in the house and in our large backyard. (Just not now because of the snow.) At least once a day he starts running around the house, carrying around his kong high in the air and shaking his head. (And i've never seen a dog run faster to the dinner bowl.) But that's for some of the day. the rest of the day he just wants to sleep. Personality around other dogs: Whenever we see another dog he gets super excited. Wiggling, pulling on the lead (and when in the house he stares out the window. He then gets too excited and starts running doing his kong thing.) But that's only first reaction. When we're traveling or when we have company with another dog staying at our house it's all play at first. Then it's only when he wants to play. ( which is normal play times.) He does get jealous sometimes. (That's my main concern.) He does not like it when other dogs have his favorite toy. He doesn't show any signs of aggression he just wants that toy more than anything in the world. But as i said he is never aggressive. We've had him since he was a puppy and i've never had to worry about him being aggressive. EVER. So what do you think? Would it be bad to introduce another dog? I want to make him happy. He is pretty healthy: A couple pounds over weight, and not that bad arthritis (He's taking pills for it.) So he should live for a couple more years. I don't want him to be unhappy in those last years. So what do you think? Will another puppy cause more harm than good? (Oh we want to get a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.) more

Resolved Question: Tips on moving out of province with a one year old, what should I do?

I plan to move from Newfoundland, to Southern Ontario. I'll get better work there, so its a necessary move. I do not know a lot of people in the area. I have a daughter who will be 1 1/2 by the time of the move. We will have to travel either by air, or renting a UHaul. I've never driven a UHaul, nor do I have much experience navigating big cities, so that thought makes me nervous. However I'm equally dismayed at leaving so many of her belongings behind in Newfoundland (I can store them at my parents house, but she wouldn't have access to them). She has a bookshelf, tricycle, battery powered ride on toys, a ton of storage systems, a very nice custom toybox/chest, and a crib. I've worked very hard to buy her those things and now I'm moving and have no idea how to transport them. Maybe I should just sell them and use the money to try and buy similar items. I don't know. I know I want to make this move, but I'm very confused about how to do it. I need some kind of a plan. Advice, personal experience, and ideas all welcomed. Resolved Question: Outdoor cat territory... Cat gets annoyed?

So i have a 7 year old outdoor/indoor cat. She does have full run of our house... :) we love her to death but shes not the cuddle kitty, try that and she will claw your face off. haha So we also have two outdoor bunnies, they get to come in alot. Our cat watches them and looks tense but i don't think she would hurt them... but still we don't let them interact. Our neighbor has a dog that loves chasing cats. * really??!! I wouldn't have guessed* Well the owner likes to travel and she just left the country for about 2 weeks. And we are dog sitting. The dog gets depressed when left alone at the owners house because no one is there. So we bring her over to our house and put the cat in my room with her food and water and toys and let her outside for how ever long she wishes. Well this dog thing really stresses her out i know, but the owner is gone longer than usual... :| And my cat just gets a tense when she come out of the room cuz i imagine its dog smell all over... :/ Well recently ( today) I saw a really pretty grey long hair cat in the vacation home backyard right behind us. I went and gave food but it ran off. So i assumed it wasn't use to home life. but it would come back to eat. My cat is not friendly to other cats so can this 'me feeding' the other cat stressing my cat? And the dog sitting, How can this be a less stressful event? Any tips?
