Resolved Question: How to code for Chrome browser?

I develop complex Web2.0 applications, all in AJAX. I test on all major browsers and sites are showing correctly. On Safari and now Chrome, all divisions are scrapped, overlapping, moved, making a complete mess. What do I have to add to make these sites to work on WebKit (the basic engine of safari and chrome) ie: <div style={position:absolute; top:20px; left:20px; width:100px; height:150px;} ... It seems that <div> arguments are not taken by Chrome: Position fails, width fails, height fails... It seems that the <div> tag does not exist in Chrome!! (or is it another type of TAG?) Any help? PS: I am checking these on PC, not MAC. Whether inline CSS or separate CSS do NOT work in webkit (never did)! Don't you think I am aware of CSS? Bode: Although my initial syntax is as required by w3c standards, changing the syntax as you proposed does not work either: <div> or <tables> or <td>'s do no respond to either of the attributes of width, height, background etc. Reading the specs of applewebkit, safari and chrome show that these tags/attributes are NOT even in their specs! At work: We have one server (Win 2000) called Web2 and it has the purchasing program on it. We have another server (Win 2000) called DBase1 which has SQL 2000. We have another server (Win 2003)called DBAPS which has SQL 2005. We had web2 pointing to dbase1 sql and changed it to dbaps sql. Our problem is that throughout the day web2 will stop pointing to dbaps and we will have to reset the iis in dos and then it starts back up and is working. A few time it would start pointing back to dbase1. What is going on? Does anybody have any idea? This did this before by losing connection to dbase1 and we had to reset it several times. We had a programmer come in and he fixed it, but he has since left and now we are not going to get him back for a while. We are trying to figure out what is going on. He did something in some of the .asp pages to fix this.....I am not a programmer, so I don't know! The ODBC is correct. We have checked all that! more
