Open Question: How does a man not cry when he misses someone?

Yeah I just had a vacation in Destin, Florida with my girlfriend of six months. It would be an understatement to say that we had a great time. Currently we are in a long distance relationship. Normally, I visit her twice a month but we planned a trip to Destin, FL for a few days. It was great spending time with her, the drive to FL, the time in FL, the drive back to her place. Normally, it stings a little I go back home several hours away from her. Now, its flat out painful. It was quite difficult keeping my composure around her and her family. I had to leave immediately before I went over the edge. I actually cried on my way home. Me a man of 22 years, crying?! Seriously that's messed up. I am normally in control of all my emotions but I lost it. I was literally balling. I really missed her at that exact moment. I'm still teary eyed right now. She feels the same way. I thought I had it under control to show strength and not be so teary eyed, but for some reason I lost my composure... Even now after several hours it's painful... I really love her, and I truly miss her! How exactly does a man or anyone for that matter not cry when they really miss someone? more

Our beach trip has been ruined...we were supposed to go to Destin FL but the oil spill has put a huge damper on that. So...we need to think of something else. Voting Question: I need a quick fix for my ingrown toenail?

I have an infected ingrown toenail on my big toe (see: http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00154), and I'm leaving for a week in Destin, Florida on Sunday, so I need this fixed and fast. It doesn't have to be perfect, just good enough for the beach for one week. I've been soaking it in peroxide and putting antibiotic ointment on it, but it is still red, puffy, pussy, and it bleeds a lot. It's very painful, and I really need to be able to enjoy this vacation. Resolved Question: Should I use cetaphil moisturizer or aloe vera to treat my forehead sunburn?

So I just got back from a 3 day vacation to Destin, FL. 2 of the days it was raining. Then yesterday I laid out on the beach and went on the lazy river outside for at least 6 hours. I put SPF 50 all over my body....except for my forehead, which seriously NEVER gets sunburned even tho I never put sunscreen on it. Well of course this time I got a horrible bright red sunburn on my forehead and nowhere else (which looks really silly). I asked the Target pharmacists what I should use. One said cetaphil moisturizer because aloe vera would clog pores. The other insisted that aloe vera is the best treatment. Does aloe vera really clog pores? And which one would help reduce redness the most? It doesn't hurt at all actually, so pain isn't an issue. Thanks for the help!ps- I'm 19. I get mild acne, which I spot-treat with Duac. My skin is very very fair, but pretty clear of acne for the most part. I have combination skin more

I am a Destin local and our business is not tourism (actually Military Contractors). I am just curious if people still plan on coming if they have existing reservations and if people are still making plans. I think people should come still and play it by ear. So far one Pelican has been found in Destin with oil (but we don't know if it happened here or elsewhere and he flew here) We are also smelling oil from the burn off not frequently and generally it clears up my morn although last night's is still lingering. If people want to email me to get updates, feel free to. I will not lie or sugarcoat it because once again my business is not tourism. There are certain someone(s) that are lying. One person from Crystal Beach states that there is no oil smell and "backed" it up with a site. Funny thing is that is where I found the two articles supporting my stance. As of now the beaches are fine and the oil smell isn't too horrible, you just deal with it. I am really curious though, who is still coming and who thinks they will pass. We are from Illinois and have planned a vacation in Destin for mid-May. Wondering what any local residents can tell us about how the oil spill is affecting the area right now and it's anticipation in the next two weeks. I have read that a state of emergency has been declared for that area. While we did have trip insurance, they company says since this is not an act of God, we are not allowed to cancel and expect a refund. They said to come down anyway since there is plenty else to do...well, I can do that here in Illinois without driving for two days and no beach...
