Me and my friend are planning a 10 day trip to Florida for this summer. We want to do the whole Disney/Universal thing. Anyway I have a few questions that I would rather have answered by real people, and not internet sites. 1) My friend and I are 20 and 19 years old, and I know legal drinking age is 21, but what is legal age to book a hotel room? We probably want to stay like 6 days on Disney property and the remaining 3 night somewhere in Orlando near Universal since we cant rent a car. 2) What are the cheapest times to fly to Orlando, and when do you reccommend to go? 3) Please if you have any other good travel tips, or ways to save money I would love to know. My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship and I will be seeing her for a day when I go down to Orlando, Florida. I will be meeting her in a theme park. But I'm not sure which one would be best for us. We are two females and we will be hugging and kissing a lot during the day. Which park would be the best for us being gay. Resolved Question: How To Un-Pop My Ears After A Flight?

On Tuesday, I went to Disney World in Florida and of course I flew down there with my entire family. We had to have a stopover in Virgina and I realized that when I was going down I had this excruciating pain in my ears. No matter how hard I swallowed or how much I yawned it would not go away. The same thing happened to me when I landed in Orlando and my ears would not un-pop. A couple of hours later, when I was in Magic Kingdom, they finally un-popped to my pleasure. However, a few days into the trip, I started to lose hearing in my right ear--everything was muffled! When I leaned to the side or put my head through my knees while hanging upside down it went away. Until the vacation ended, I couldn't hear anything. This morning and last night I could not hear from my ears as it was all muffled and would not go away when I leaned to the side. I went on a plane today and my ears were still bothering me until I got up into the air where the muffling sort of subsided. Now, after landing and one again having excruciating pain in just my left ear this time, I cannot hear out of my ears and everything is really muffled! I took cold/allergy medicine to see if it would help but it didn't and before the flight I had used nose-spray. I'm getting really nervous but if you have any suggestions whatsoever on what to do in this situation that would be great. Help? more

Make-A-Wish trip I still remember the day when my sister Angelina got granted a make a wish trip. Her wish was to go to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The once of a life time trip was a dream vacation and a get away from the endless medication, hospital visits and illnesses’. As my family arrived at Make-A-Wishes private resort known as, Give Kids The World, I could not help but to stare in amazement. Give Kids The World looked like something out of a fairy tale. Just as my father parked the rent a car, I saw a huge merry-go-round, tall castles, flowers of all colors, trees with smiley faces on them, a waterfall that changed colors and much more! My family got out of the car, and we went into the main building. A lady wearing a bright colored shirt greeted us with a smile and said, “welcome to Give Kids The World. I am Natalie and I will show you around. I promise that your trip will be filled with fun and be a vacation you will never forget.” Natalie grabbed our villa room key and loaded my family into a golf cart to show us the way around Give Kids The World. As we drove off, I could not help but notice the kids walking around. Their where kids with I.V’s in their arms and kids who had bald heads. They all looked so happy! I did not understand, how could you be happy when you are sick? “Carissa look over there! It is a 24 hour ice cream cafe,” shouted Angelina! I smiled and said with a laugh, “let’s have some for breakfast!” Angelina had a smile from ear to ear. I want to take my daughter to Orlando for her ninth bday. I wanted to take her to Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove and possibly Disney (maybe for like a day) and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good hotel. I need something nice and safe (it will be just the two of us) and affordable. I don't want to rent a car so I need something with a reliable shuttle service and good restaurants nearby. I was looking at all of the travel websites and alot of the places have mixed reviews so it is hard to settle on a place. Well, my girlfriend and I have been taking these extended weekend trips lately around FL, which is where we live and have really been enjoying the time together to just relax and get away from classes and our jobs. We are both in our early 20's and are simple people. Like doing regular stuff. Going out to eat, seeing movies, doing water parks, theme parks, movies, seeing shows, hanging around a pool or hotel and just enjoying ourselves. We've been going to the Orlando area recently, and have done Disney, Universal Studios, Wet n Wild, restuarants, tons of mini golf (lots of those around Orlando and Kissimmee), and seen movies, and are ready to plan a trip outward from Florida. Does anybody have any touristy areas like that (maybe not as big, I know Orlando is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the country) elsewhere that would include much of the simple activities that I mentioned? I think part of the intrigue and pull that we get from Orlando, is because they offer so many things to do that are cheap, like Downtown Disney. Thats free to go to and just blow time and shop or eat/people watch. Can anyone reccomend a good place to go to anywhere in the country that could keep us busy for a week and somewhere we could survive on about $100 a day for spending money? Keep in mind, we don't have to eat at the nicest restuarant nor see world class entertainment to have fun. Thanks in advance! more

I went to Disney World in Orlando Florida for a vacation with my gf and stayed at a Disney World resort. I would consider myself lower-class, It took a decent amount of money to go there even though I got everything discounted. Anyways when I get there, it seems that they only catered to middle/upper class. I seen a lot of snobby rich people, brats, and spoiled kids. Everything decent needed reservations and downtown disney was very expensive. So When I came back and watched a show called Princess protective, I noticed that it was the same type of people I seen at the resort. And the Jokes and humor seemed to be aimed at middle/ upper class. I am wondering if anyone else notices this or am I just insane lol . more

Well I am in college and I had saved up about $2000 in a savings account all through out High School. Even when I worked my dad never let me spend a dime saying I should save it for buying a car or for college expenses. Well things have been really tight around my house for about 2-3 years and my mom needed some money last year and I gave her about $200 or so that I had earned while at college through work study. I had been given an almost full scholarship to a private school and all I had to pay was $2000 loan every year which is cheaper than most public colleges. While at school I payed for my books, transportation to and from home, and everything else through the work study money I earned. I didn't really spend money on shopping so I did have enough money for necessities outside of what the school covered. Now that I am home I wanted to get a drivers license finally but my mom told me my dad had used the $2000 in my savings account (b.c it was a joint account). I didn't really care because I knew whatever I would need my dad would take care of while I was at home for the summer (including joining a gym, paying for driving classes, etc...) However, It's been over a month since vacation and he hasn't given me money for anything besides the gym (and even that I am paying the monthly dues out of my pocket he just gave me the cash for reg. fee b.c I didn't have any). Even then even though I was annoyed I didn't take it to heart b.c times are rough for a lot of people but when I found out from my mom that he had used my savings on a failing business deal. I got really angry b.c he took my money for something everyone was telling him not to invest in and that was failing. Not only that he's now planning a family vacation for 6 to Orlando..for Disney World or Universal studios or even BOTH! Who wouldn't really want to go there, I've never been and a part of me still wants to go, but I don't think its the right time. I just want to do what NEEDS to be done and even though my driving isn't a necessity neither is going to florida. I know this is SUPER long but ...now my mom b.c she feels bad about the entire situation wants to sell her jewelry from her wedding days so I can take care of what ever I need to. First, I don't want to take her money Second, I do want to get stuff done but I don't know what to do, I feel horrible doing that to her especially since my dad's foolish spending is what's causing this. My mom tries talking to my dad but he says he'll talk later and he'll work it out but he never does! What should I do? sorry for the long storyI had been looking for a part time job since spring break when I came home but since I am only here for the summer..a lot of places don't want to hire me. Resolved Question: DAMN! Im going to be on my period when im on vacation!!?

I use this period predictor to see when my period will be (its scientific, so its never more then like 3 days off) and it said that my period will start while im in Florida. Well the problem is my mom is the only one who knows about my period (im 13) and i'm going to be there with my mom, dad, brother, aunt, uncle, and my 2 cousins. Well we're going to be walking around all day, i think we'll be at disney world for like a day, sea world and one of those disney water parks for like 3 days and gonig 2 the beach and downtown orlando and all that. Well my mom won't let me use tampons cause she thinks im too young. Its not only the fact that if she wont let me use tampons i'll miss out on everything, but if i have to keep changing my pad and searching all over the damn place for a washroom, don't you think people will get the hint? I don't want my family to know I have my period and i don't want to miss out on things. What should i do? How do I convince my mom to let me use tampons (should this situation arise) and how do i keep it a secret if my mom won't (seeing as ill have 2 change it really often and if i don't go in the water they'll know) oh ya, and there's always the disposing of pads (or tampon applicator if my mom agrees) how would i go about that? i considered taking the dirty pads with me in a bag and throwing them in a park garbage when no ones looking. but thats kind of weird...and gross ugghh FAK!!! would should i do??!!i know. i started my period in october and its been bang on, arriving at the same time every month after month after month. i know its unlikely but it has beeniv had my period like 7 or 8 times, thanks...... more

Her family isnt the wealthy kind so i try and take her to do things that she prolly wont be able to see. now its not that i mind giving her money or doing things for her cuz i like doing those things for her and making her happy. but im ALWAYS the one giving her alot of my money or going out of my way to let her come with me to places. 2 years ago i took her to Orlando Florida to go to disney world. and in my family there were already 6 ppl going and thats alot of money including renting a car just for her to go cuz we like to drive. so my mom was already paying an extra 1000 dollors for her to go and all my mom asked for was at least 400. well she knew about this for and year and had all that time to try and get up the money. i ended up paying her with my birthday and christmas money to go. i gave her 200 dollors and she gave my mom 200. well when we left to go she told me she had 200 extra dollors for spending money. thats more than me and its my vacation. i shouldve had money to buy things.well i didnt really care at the time cuz a life time full of fun memories with my best friend was alot more inportant than money. well now we went to disney world again cuz we go every 2 years and i wanted her to go. cuz i know she had alot of fun last time. well she has been talking about killing herself and how depressed she is and i feel for her. ya know? it hurts me to see her hurt. especially since i know how her household is. and her family. and i moved 2 hours away from there to live with my dad so i cant really help her through it that much so i decided to get her away from all that mess. and so i told her the least she had to get this time was 200. well it ended up i gave her the whole 200 again and my mom wanted an extra hundred so i lyed to my dad and asked him for a hundred dollors for spending money and instead gave it to her. she didnt get any of the money. and she didnt even really try then i didnt have any money to spend but she had gotton a hundred dollors. we had a GREAT time again i didnt care about spending that money on her. well me and her got together before we went to disney world and snuck out and drank at the park with 7 guys we knew them well they are bad drug heads and they kept passing us the vodka and stuff and i think they slipped me a drug cuz i dont remember anything and i didnt drink that much and i passed out. well 3 guys raped me and i was still out of it 3 days later. well me and one of the guys there were talking later and everything and i grew up with him too and he like her and soo i tryed to hook em up and he is bestfriends with one of the guys that raped me well she is into a whole bunch of drugs now and i mean i smoke everyonce in a while and thats it but shes a pill popper and everything and im worried well the day that we got back from disney world she went with seth the guy i tryed and hook em up and smoked pot with him and before we went i asked her to just chill out on the drugs and i didnt know that seth was that bad about it but i told her i dont think she should hang out and get drunk and high with seth and zach the guy that did that to me and she went back and told them that i said that and added stuff to it and then seth txted me cussing me out so i txted her and she just ignored it and then a couple days later i txted her again well she got zach to txt me telling me to leave her alone that she dont like me anymore so that night i got on myspace and left her along message telling her exactly how i felt and she read it but didnt reply so i deleted her and didnt try to contact her for a week and a half then i get this txt from seth outa know where cussing me out calling me names and he is telling me not to txt her anymore and of course i replyd with my own choice of words and then another week later she replyd to me on myspace saying she dont want to fight. and i told her we still have to talk about things and so we talked over the phone and it was 420 of course weed day and i told her how i felt and i thought we were okay and i tryed to call her again later and she didnt answer and id txt her and she didnt reply so i left her a message asking her if she even cares and she didnt reply. well me and my friend meara went down to my moms to hang out with the guys we are seriously talking to and we went to the mall and i saw her walking around the mall with zach and seth and i tryed to hide my face but zach said look bitch is hiding her face and she just laughed. im sorry but thats a little inconsiderate and unnecessary. i want to be her friend. i mean i grew up with her and everything but i feel like im being used and she dont even care. its like i dont even know her anymore. but i dont want to completly stop...im stuck and its causing my stress. please ill take any advice. more

I am looking for REALLY GOOD PRICED Disney World tickets. We live in Orlando so we can qualify for Florida Residents discounts, but even those are ridiculously priced! I have myself, my fiance & our 2 kids (4yo & 7months old) and are planning a little vacation just to stay at a hotel and go to the parks. We are planning on getting the SeaWorld Play for A Day Come Back All Year Pass. But we REALLY want to take the kids to Disney World. Where can I get REALLY good prices? We thought about Time shares but because we live in Lake County we do not qualify to take the tour. Are there any REALLY REALLY good discounts out there? My family decided on a whim that we should go to Florida in the next week. I'm 15. We were going to go to Disney in Orlando, but the tickets are all booked up for the amount of people we need on the flight home. So that's pretty much out.
