Resolved Question: Weather in Orlando Florida?
I'm going to Disney World on Wednesday, and will be staying about three days. My fiancee and I had an international trip planned, and that fell through at the last minute. Bummed that we were not going to get our vacation, we decided to make a spur of the moment Disney trip (we live in North Carolina). Well, caught up in our excitement for Disney World, we were stupid enough not to check the weather...and now that I'm looking at it, thunderstorms are predicted for all week. Anyway, my question is about weather in Orlando. I still plan to go (hell, it's Disney. There are lots of things to do even if it rains!), but I was wondering if we were completely out of luck for the outdoor rides and stuff (Test Track and Mt. Everest are my FAVORITE!). I had heard that Florida gets a surprising amount of rain this time of year, but it typically moves in and out pretty quickly. I was wondering if this is true, and if there is a chance we will still be able to enjoy the outdoor rides that would otherwise be closed during a storm. Thank you!I know they close down the rides in thunderstorms. I was just wondering if what I heard about Florida storms not lasting long was true. Thanks :D moreResolved Question: Question about rain in Orlando Florida?

It's the sequel to a Sonny with a chance fanfiction called "Seducing Sonny" (Which if u didn't guess is a Channy fanfic) (Even if you don't like Sonny with a Chance just hear me out please!!! I'm begging you!!! I need a title sooo badly so i can post this on fanfiction.net!! and yes i no i've alreayd posted this!!)) Anyway, it's pretty much right where the last one left off so it's Summer Vacation and Sonny and Chad are trying to go back to their love/hate relationship before the bet (Chad made a bet with his cousin that he could seduce Sonny Munroe in the last book...he ended up suceeding and Sonny and Chad ended up falling in love, but then Sonny found out and got mad and in the end they decided to just go back to how things were before) but things are just really awkward, so Sonny's really glad to be getting away from him for the Summer and visiting her best friend Lucy in Wisconsin. Then, a couple days after arriving at Lucy's she gets a call from Condor Studios saying that the casts of all the TV shows filmed there (including So Random and Mackenzie Falls) have to go to Orlando, FL for a very important meetin (Need a little help with WHY they have to go to a meeting?/ SUGGESTIONS?) But they also get two weeks in Disney World to make up for the inconvenience. Unfortunatly, there's an uneven number of boys, so Chad ends up sharing a room with Sonny, Tawni and Lucy and Tawni. Eventually, Chad and Sonny sit down and talk and Chad confesses that he still has feelings for Sonny and that even though he said they should go back to being frenemies, it kills him to see her every day and not be with her. They end up dating again in the end, but this time secretly. Sorry that was kinda long. Any ideas for titles??? Normally I'd think up my own, but I'm posting this on fanfiction.net so i kind need a title to post it. Any ideas?? Also, I don't want it to have anything to do with them going to Florida or anything, because I don't want people to know what's going to happen.sure no problem...if u wanna read the story when i post it, my pen name is Ra4chel-the 4 is silent I'm not sure if i'll use ur ideas yet, but i'll be sure to give you credit if i do. moreResolved Question: I need a title for this book?

I live not to far from Orlando FL, so i have already visted ALL the disney parks my whole life. My family wants to take a vacation, maybe around thanksgiving/fall break. we wanted to visit Hershey Park, maybe? The amusement park? http://www.hersheypark.com/ Please if anyone has ever been there please tell me if it was good or not. i am 13 i have 2 brothers that are 15 and 18. and our parents would come too. is that a good park to visit for us? or a good place to take a vacation? are there any hotels around? like i said we live in florida, (close to tampa) so it would be a LONG drive/flight. moreResolved Question: Help with Orlando Hotel for me and 5 year old son?
I need a little help with planning a trip to orlando with my 5 year old son. Its our 1st time going to Orlando, Florida :) I have only booked my flights so far, could anyone recommend a good hotel for the 1st two weeks of march 2011? I was about to book Holiday Inn Club Vacations Orlando - Orange Lake Resort, which looks like a great resort, our own kitchen (to save a bit of money) and the pools and everything looks amazing..however after reading reviews on trip advisor there seems to be a LOT of extra costs, like $9 a day for tubes for the lazy river and $15 each for a shuttle bus to the disney parks etc. :/ and i plan to go to the disney parks almost everyday for the 2 weeks! My friend told me some hotels offer free shuttle buses to the parks and i came across Gaylord Palms, another gorgeous hotel but they only have small rooms with no kitchen so we'll have to eat out everynight. I've searched the internet and the two best hotels i could find (in my price range was these 2 hotels). Would it be too much hassle maybe booking 1 week in the Holiday Inn, Orange Lake and 1 week in Gaylord Palms? As we'd get free shuttles in one hotel and great pools in the other! Or should i book into the same hotel for the 2 weeks? I'm so confused! Has anyone stayed at either of these hotels? Could anybody recommend any other good hotels around the disney area, preferably with free shuttles to the parks, and good pools, and lots of things to do at the hotel, as i plan to spent the rest of the holiday relaxing at the hotel. Also Im not goin to rent a car as its only me and my son and with the cost of parking at disney, fuel and the Daily Surcharge for drivers under 25, it wouldnt be worth it. Whats the weather like the 1st two weeks of March? Also which parks would you recommend for a 5 year old? The Walt Disney Resort or to get the Orlando FlexTicket, or the Orlando Freedom Ticket which lets you visit: * Magic Kingdom Park * Epcot * Disney's Hollywood Studios * Disney's Animal Kingdom * Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park* * Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park* * Universal Studios Florida * Universal's Islands of Adventure * SeaWorld Orlando * Aquatica * Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Which would be the best for a 5 year old? If we got the Orlando Freedom Ticket, would we have enough time to visit much diffrent parks, or would it be a waste of money? After looking both of them up, I thought the Orlando Flexiticket looked best, but would my 5 year old enjoy it? Sorry for all the question :) hope someone will be able to help, Thanks. moreResolved Question: Questions for people who have travelled to Orlando Florida?

I'm going on vacation to Orlando, this august (august 9 -august 17). I'm gonna stay at the Howard Johnson Inn at the International Drive. I have some questions since it's been like 3 years that I haven't gone to Orlando. And we don't drive, we can't drive in Orlando. So we always take busses or taxi to go to our destination. If u live in Orlando, I would really appreciate it if u answer/can answer some of these questions :) - What transportation can I take from the hotel that were staying (Howard Johnson Inn, International Drive) to go to Disney World, at a reasonable price? -Does the Ross Dress For Less Stores on Touchstone Drive and Sand Lake Road have a good variety of clothes, and is it worth it to go there? Which One? Are there any more Rosses less than one hour away? - Are there many sales in the days of august 9 to august 17? If yes, what kind of sales and where? - What great restaurant can u recommend me to go, near International Drive? - Are there any activities or (big) events those days that I'm in Orlando? - Does the Burlington Coat Factory on S.Orange Blossom, sell on only coats? Or from clothes to shoe to everything wearable? - Are there any Big Lots! less than one hour away from my hotel on International Drive? - Does the Marshall on Sand Lake Road, have a good variety of clothes? - What stores do u recommend me to go while I'm in Orlando, where I can find good clothes at a reasonable good price? - Which of these 2 are most awesome to go to, Sea World or Animal Kingdom?- Is it worth it to go to Prime Outlets Orlando? - Where can I buy unlock phones (blackberry)? To use while I'm in Orlando and plus that I xan use while I'm back home.- Does the I-ride Trolleys ride round and round on international drive. And do I have to take the numbered trolley to go to the same numbered destination. For example If I want to go to Premium Outlets Orlando, that is number 1 northbound. My hotel is number 11. So i have to take I-ride trolley number 1, to get to my destination. Or I can take which ever numbered trolley, because all of them will go the same way, each at the same time over and over again? It would be really helpfull, if someone would explain me that :)---->>>No answer yet, anyone...???? moreVoting Question: how scary is the disney land tower of terror?

Hey guys ;) April 2011 I'm going back to Disney World Florida for my 3rd time. We have been twice before (September 2009 and over the Christmas time December 2010). The next time we go, were looking for different activities to do. We've been to Busch Gardens, every park at Disney World (except the Blizzard Beach water park because it was closed the first time and it was way to cold the second time), Sea World, swam with the dolphins at Discovery Cove and alot of other little activities like Crazy Golf, meals and shopping. Do you have any ideas about what else we could do when we go back? There will be me (14), my mum, my brother (9), my nan and my bampy. Also, were thinking of going down to Miami for one or two days while we're on vacation. How far away is Miami from Florida? What is there to do in Miami? What nice beaches are there? What good shopping places are there? What type of transport could we use to get there? How much would it be (estimate)? Also, is there any nice beaches in the Orlando area? Hi, I'm seventeen and my mother and I have been trying to search for the perfect hotel for our family. There are four of us, two kids (seventeen and nine) and two adults. This will be my sister's (the nine year old) first time to Disney and my last big family vacation before going off to college. Actually I guess you could call this my first time to Disney as well. You see the last time my family and I (a whole big family thing) I went, I was very little and therefore it'll be nice to enjoy it. (especially the theme parks ;]). The thing is that we want this to be the absolute best because we don't go on too many vacations and the ones we do go on aren't spectacular and therefore we wanted a chance. So we started to look and obviously saw the Nick Resort...which I was a bit disappointed with the rooms because there's only four of us and therefore we only need four places to sleep but it seemed like the one br suite was too small and then the 2 bedroom only had a kitchenette and then the huge suite was well, not necessary for our 4 person family. But we would go with the 2 bedroom and suck it up haha so we were impressed with the Nick Resort. We weren't so excited about any of the many Disney hotels or cabins or anythings in Orlando. They all had something that made them a bit gross. Besides, they weren't REALLY kid friendly. The only thing kid friendly about most of the Disney things were the fact that they had characters on the wall, or showed movies ..oh no wait or had ONE thing in the pool. Let's just leave it at I was not impressed. Other than that I'm not sure where else to look. Those were the two biggies that we had thought of right off the bat. I'm getting ready to go and explore all of the hotels and resorts near Orlando or even right near the Parks themselves. I figured it would be easier to ask on here to get anyones opinion that has been there. My question basically (in short) is in your opinion what Orlando hotels/resorts are more kid friendly or kid based or basically which hotel is more entertaining and worth it more so for the kids (yet still enjoyable for the parents. I appreciate this, thank you! moreResolved Question: What are some really cool things to see and do in Central Florida besides DisneyWorld and Universal Studios?

We are going to take a family vacation in May, and I am thinking of taking my daughter back to Disney because she is dying to go back! I was wondering if any Florida residents or travel experts know what is the most luxurious accomodations to stay in? (Please do not reply with the grand floridian, or contemporary, etc.) I am really looking for the 5-star- like true luxury hotels with presidential-like suites available.. (Has anyone noticed that even the RITZ Carlton in orlando is crappy!?) Somebody please help me find a hotel!!! I am willing to stay in ANY CITY within an HOUR drive of magic kingdom but can be somewhat flexible for a knock-out gorgeous hotel. (PLEASE ONLY REPLY WITH SERIOUS COMMENTS! Please do not comment with mean bitter responses or lectures about how the above listed hotels are nice. I apologize in advance if I offended anyone who likes the above written hotels but I am truly only looking for advice from people who know and understand what I am referring to.) Willing to travel an hour or so if I need to. Please help ! I have looked everywhere and can't find a gorgeous hotel but I have a feeling it's because I don't know the area, so I don't know which cities in driving distance that I should be looking at? Thank you for your help everyone! You yahoo guys always give such great advice! Thanks!Well, thanks for the input, but as I said, not the response I need. I suppose I should add that I am speaking as someone who HAS BEEN to Disney more times than I can count and have personally stayed in the Grand Floridian and it's dirty, and not nice. It's not HORRIBLE, it's just not what I'm looking for. Sure, it has its perks. It's close to the park and easy. But again, NOT WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR. Please someone help me find a luxury hotel that is within hour driving distance of disney. (I take my daughter to disney plenty! SO THANKS ANYWAY! but this time, me and my husband are looking for a luxurious, spectacular suite in a hotel in florida, where we also have the abilitiy to drive to Disney 1 or 2 days out of the vacation). My 3 year old son and I will are vacationing in Florida for one week in early May. Hotel and flight are paid for, as are airport transfers. The hotel offers free shuttle to SeaWorld, Disney, etc. We will be doing two days at Disney and one or two days at SeaWorld. Our hotel is a suite with fridge and microwave, and we will be having the free continental breakfast each morning. On our Disney days, we will return to the hotel for lunch and a nap. It is $289 for the two of us to do Disney, and about $150 for SeaWorld, so I am alloting $450 for theme park tickets. We are doing three character meals, and I am alloting $40 for breakfast with Elmo at SeaWorld, $60 for Donald's Safari Breakfast, and $70 for Chef Mickey's. Does this look about right? How much spending money would we need considering it is my son's first time at Disney? That means all the souvenirs that a first timer would normally get(Mickey ears, autograph book, etc). Would $1200 be enough, including admission prices and character dining? moreResolved Question: Of all the Disney resorts in Orlando, what is the cheapest?

Me and my friend are planning a 10 day trip to Florida for this summer. We want to do the whole Disney/Universal thing. Anyway I have a few questions that I would rather have answered by real people, and not internet sites. 1) My friend and I are 20 and 19 years old, and I know legal drinking age is 21, but what is legal age to book a hotel room? We probably want to stay like 6 days on Disney property and the remaining 3 night somewhere in Orlando near Universal since we cant rent a car. 2) What are the cheapest times to fly to Orlando, and when do you reccommend to go? 3) Please if you have any other good travel tips, or ways to save money I would love to know. We are University students so we would like to save as much as we can. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!! Most helpful advice will get the points. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! moreResolved Question: LGBT - Vacation question?
My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship and I will be seeing her for a day when I go down to Orlando, Florida. I will be meeting her in a theme park. But I'm not sure which one would be best for us. We are two females and we will be hugging and kissing a lot during the day. Which park would be the best for us being gay. Also, I would like to take her and her parents out to a nice resturant within walking distance of the parks. A nice but in expensive place near the parks, thanks. The parks that we could meet at are: Disney Islands of Adventure Sea World Universal studios Maybe I missed a few? Sorry. Oh, also I want to get something for her for when I see her. I would get flowers but I don't want to have to carry them throughout the park all day. I already got her a promise ring so that is also out of the picture. My girlfriend and I really aren't into rides, so we'd just walk around and talk and stuff. moreResolved Question: Orlando Florida hotels/vocational rentals - please suggest - we are planing a trip with our 3 year old?

On Tuesday, I went to Disney World in Florida and of course I flew down there with my entire family. We had to have a stopover in Virgina and I realized that when I was going down I had this excruciating pain in my ears. No matter how hard I swallowed or how much I yawned it would not go away. The same thing happened to me when I landed in Orlando and my ears would not un-pop. A couple of hours later, when I was in Magic Kingdom, they finally un-popped to my pleasure. However, a few days into the trip, I started to lose hearing in my right ear--everything was muffled! When I leaned to the side or put my head through my knees while hanging upside down it went away. Until the vacation ended, I couldn't hear anything. This morning and last night I could not hear from my ears as it was all muffled and would not go away when I leaned to the side. I went on a plane today and my ears were still bothering me until I got up into the air where the muffling sort of subsided. Now, after landing and one again having excruciating pain in just my left ear this time, I cannot hear out of my ears and everything is really muffled! I took cold/allergy medicine to see if it would help but it didn't and before the flight I had used nose-spray. I'm getting really nervous but if you have any suggestions whatsoever on what to do in this situation that would be great. Help? moreTop Disney Vacation Orlando Florida Links
