i am going on vacation with my parents and myself who is 20 and am trying to find a good vacation spot on the beach. We have been looking into daytona beach but have read mixed reviews with a lot of ppl saying its run down....We prefer the atlantic coast but are open to the west coast of florida. We don't want to pay anymore then $130 a night. Something that has at least convenience stores or restraunts withing walking distance. Voting Question: Where and when should my boyfriend and I go on our first vacation together?

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years now, and we want to finally go on a vacation somewhere. I'll be 20 in October, he'll be 21 in December. I can't decide if we should go somewhere over the summer (probably late July early August) or if we should wait until winter break (mid December to mid January) to go somewhere. Also, I can't decide where to go! I think he really wants to go to like a national park or something historic, and I'm fine with pretty much anything. I DO think a beach vacation would be easier and cheaper, but I'm not sure how fond he would be of that. Although, with the right destination, for the right price, he can probably be convinced! I've been to Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, Missouri, Iowa, and Florida, (he's been to all, plus Nebraska) and we'd really like to visit a place we've never been to. We'd like it to be relatively cost effective, too. No more than 700 a person (flight and hotel) in the summer, and no more than 800 a person (flight and hotel) in the winter. Cheaper than that would obvisouly be GREAT!!! We have also entertained the idea of DRIVING somewhere, but we only have like 4 or 5 days to vacation, so that probably wouldn't be wise. I'm not looking for any big crazy parties in fact i want more of a family vacation. a good party would be okay but not some crazy thing where everyone is taking of their clothes off. We are going to Florida in May for one week and would like a beach vacation on the Gulf Coast. We are 2 adult couples travelling from the UK. We would prefer somewhere that is not too far south as we have to fly home from Tampa. We have been to Naples before but found the hotels a bit spread out. We were miles from the beach and had to get taxis to restaurants in the evening as we like a glass of wine! We also found Naples very pricey. it is one question for my scholarships. 1. It’s obvious that continuing your education is important to you. What is your intended major or program of study? What attracts you to this chosen field of study? What are your goals upon completion of your college education? My intended major is in marine science. I would either like to study marine biology or marine ecology. My passion for marine life started when I was about ten years old. I was on vacation in Florida with my family. I remember i was walking along the beach when I came across a small starfish. I picked it up and grabbed a large cup from a vendor selling sodas. I kept the starfish in the cup in my room over night, and when I woke up, one of its arms had fallen off. I remember feeling terrible and thinking I killed the starfish by keeping it in my room. So i went back to the beach to find my mom to see what I should do. Being just a kid, well, i forgot about the starfish once I got outside. When I remembered and came back into my room to show my mom, the starfish had grown another arm, and the arm that fell off was growing more arms as well. I was fascinated by this, and have wanted to study marine life ever since. I am currently studying a college level biology course in high school. It is a cellular biology course, which is interesting; however I enjoy science that concerns organisms, primarily those that live in or near the ocean. I am very interested in their interactions with the environment, as well as the global effects on not only the marine environment, but the environment as a whole, due to pollution and human activity. Upon completing my college education I would like to have a job position dealing with the protection and conservation of marine habitats and organisms. I would enjoy learning how to do my part in cleaning up and protecting the marine environment. more

Keep in mind... CHEAP. My boyfriend I are looking to spend a few days in Florida for our Spring Break this year. We have always stayed in the same hotel in Myrtle Beach. It has a great price and a bunch of included amenities. We have never had a bad time but we have never been anywhere else. This year we have been looking to see some place new. I have found a place in Panama City Beach, Florida kfor a pretty good price but it doesn't have all the amenities. I don't know what to do because we are a family living on a budget so if this vacation doesnt go well we don't get another one for a year. I am going to Miami, Florida in June of this year and just trying to figure out how expensive it is to stay for a week (7 days). Resolved Question: Which activity should I do while in California?

In the first week of April my friend and I and our mothers are going to Mexico to do a service project (at an orphanage) in Baja Cali. near the border. But first we're going to be in San Diego. My friend and her mom are going to be there for a few days before my mom and I get there (we will already be on vacation in Arizona and aren't meeting them in San Diego until after Easter) so we will only be there for ONE DAY with them. We either want to go to SEAWORLD or SNORKELING at the beach. I am having the hardest time deciding which would be more fun. I have all ready done both things before, but not in a while. My friend has done neither. We can only do one of these two things because they are both more expensive. It depends a lot on the weather, but not entirely. If we went snorkeling we would spend most of the day at the beach, snorkel for a couple hours and maybe go to an aquarium. Seaworld would take the whole day, but is soooo much fun! So this is a really tough decision for me, I want to do both so bad. What would you chose? Also I've only ever snorkeled in Florida, so is it as good where we are going to be? (I've heard its not, but my friend's mom found one good place). more

I'm scheduled to get my period on the 13th this month, and I'm going to Florida on vacation from the 14th-18th. (perfect timing right?) So I need opinions on the best tampon since I'll most likely go to the beach and swim. My period is VERY heavy and lasts usually 6-7 days. Right now I'm using tampax pearl and I love them with pads, but I'm worried about wearing them by themselves while I go to the beach. What tampon brand do you think is the best for heavy periods? My fiance and I will be honeymooning in Florida in March. We are trying to find a vacation rental, condo, townhome, home etc somewhere in Florida with an ocean view. We are flying into Orlando. I have been looking at vacation rentals in New Smyrna beach and now I have been trying to look in West Palm Beach area but I am not familiar with that part of the state! I am dreaming of a sunny, warm beach vacation in the continental USA. My ideal place would be someplace warm without a lot of people within three hours drive of an airport. I would like an affordable vacation rental home or bungalow (no motels) on or near the beach. I was thinking somewhere along the Caribbean - maybe Texas or Florida. My cousin and I would like to go on a "quicky" vacation for two nights sometime between THIS thursday (afternoon/night) and monday (anytime). We live in the New York area and are looking to get away to somewhere with a beach. The catch is that we want a semi-nice vacation at a very very low price. I know, its a tough question.
