We will be going to Florida the 1st 2 weeks of December and it will be 4 Adults and 1 child (2yrs old). We were thinking about doing the vacation home because they have kitchens, more room and we don't have to worry about people complain if they hear our child making noise. I'm going on vacation to Orlando this September with my boyfriend for two weeks and we want to see all the attractions and theme parks etc so we'll be getting a hotel in Orlando/Kissimmee/International Drive sort of area. A main thing we want to do is go to Kennedy Space Center but neither of us drive and I see that it's quite a way out from Orlando and I can't seem to find any sort of transportation like buses or trains to get over that way. Hi guys! Im planning to go to Orlando for my 16 birthday with a few other people, so were looking for a big room. We found one at the holiday inn and it have 3 bedrooms 4 beds a dining area, and a living area and a full washer and dryer for only 225 a night. Sounds a little too good to be true. I'm pretty much a big clean freak and i dont want to stay anywhere that is like not well maintained. Has anyone ever have any experiences staying in this hotel? How many bathroom do you think this room would have? Resolved Question: How to get out of a timeshare, that you didn't know you were responsible for?

In Aug 2008 my in-laws purchased a time share @ Vacation Village at Parkway, Kissimmee Fl. I did sign the contract at which it said I was an "owner". However I did ask at the time of signing if I was at all responsible for the time share and the seller insisted I was not. He wanted to add me to the contract to begin with, so I myself could check into the time share w/o my In-laws being there. Now two years later my in-laws have filed for bankruptcy and I am now responsible for the remaining balance on the time share of 11,553 dollars if you figure in the life of the loan over 28,000. I was told when signing the contract it was only for me to be able to check into the unit. I do not even have an RCI account or receive RCI points or any of that, so how I am I know responsible for this debt? If anyone can help me please, it would be greatly appreciated. I have good credit, I haven't over extended myself. I have been out of a job for almost two years and because of the fact that I have never buried myself in debt, this is the only reason I have been able to survive without ruining my credit. I have always been a responsible person, and can not believe I have ended up in this mess. Please help!The seller is a salesman at the resort. The loan is financed through the resort. So i'm on vacation in Orlando, Kissimmee, with my cousin and my best friend (and some other family, but not relevant :P).. Most days are spend on either Disneys or Relaxing/shopping at outlets, Florida Mall, etc etc... But the 3 of us would really like to go do something else, prefferably some activity where there are other teens too, and so on.. we're all 16. Anyone have any suggestions as to what we could spend our time on, that is somewhat more directed towards teenagers than Disneys and Shopping is? We had a lot of fun with a group of equally-aged americans last night after we had seen the Medieval Times dinner show, and language wasnt a problem at all or anything.. But that place doesnt seem like the best place to go and hang out at random :) more

I'm on vacation in Orlando, Kissimmee, with my family and my cousin.. We went to Disneyland yesterday, and after about 5 minutes me and my cousin were asked by a group of Mexican school-girls if they could take a picture with us (we're both 16).. And after that, we started to notice that there were south-american teenage groups walking around all over the place.. 90% from Brazil, but also a few from Mexico and Argentina.. Anyone who can tell me why there are so many here right now? And why they wanted pictures with us? When we were done for the day, we had been part of about 50 pictures, but i still dont get it lol. - Danish tourist in Orlando :)Yes, i can speak with the Norwegians without any trouble, because our languages are 90% the same :) They always get so happy when you speak to them in their mother-language.. I really enjoyed the walk around the lake.. Speaking Spanish in Mexico, Danish in Norway and German in Germany, and of course English in USA/England.. It was amazing to have the chance to speak all my 4 languages at the same place =D more

If you went to the Medieval Times Dinner and Show in the year 2010, in Kissimmee, FL and took a picture of the Red Knight, please could you send it to me? I have a wall in my room with pictures and souvenirs from everywhere I have been. Unfortunately, I dropped my camera on the way in and it broke, and I didn't get a picture of him. I was in the red section and he won the reenactment of the show. I got the his flag from the stand and figured their website would have a picture of their knights, but they don't. I'm booking a hotel for vacation, it's 4 of us all together on May 29th- June 5th. I prefer a resort Condo or villa type. It's 2 against 2, 2 of us for Floridays and 2 for Holiday Inn (Mainly for the Lazy river). I read reviews on holiday inn and I don't know its 50 50, but Floridays has mostly good reviews but no Lazy river 2hich I like too. Resolved Question: Question about a job i applied for that turned out a disaster?

Ok, I applied for a job at compusa about a month ago. I received a phone call from the sales manager asking me to come in for an interview. When i got to the interview the next day, I had to wait over a half hour before i was interviewed because the sales manager told me that he had forgot about the interview because he had so much going on. I waited so long, that finally the store manager told me that another guy was going to interview me i think it was the merchandise manager or something like that. I did good with that interview. Now, i have a charge of criminal sexual conduct in the 4th degree That i plead no contest to about 8 years ago. This charge is not a felony , its a misdeamenor that was non physical, but its for coersion not physical violence. I put this charge on my application, i did not hide anything or lie. They called me for the first interview, and then a second interview, so i guess they were fine with my record as anyone would assume that if they called me right? At the second interview which was with the store manager and sales manager, i did good, and they told me that they want me to start working, and that i had the job. I let them know about the vacation time i already had planned, they were cool with it. Then, right before the interview was over, they asked me " is there anything that is gonna come up in your background check"? im like what the heck are u talking about i put down my background in the app. So now there looking stupid, looking around, and acting like they didnt over look it, when they did overlook it it was clearly on my app. So they said they have seen worse, and corporate should not have a problem with it. They took me into the break room , everyone is telling congradulations, and they have me fill out my new hire paperwork, tax forms, and every paper people fill out with a new job they receive. They then have me take my drug test, which should have been done before they hired me, but whatever. I know i past my drug test for sure i dont use drugs. A week goes by, and i dont here from them, i call and another manager tells me she was just gonna call me because she needs me to fill out more paperwork. I go up to the store, i fill it out and leave. It was some new policy they had and something about playing videos on the tv's at the store. Another week goes by, i still have not started working, and i call the store and the sales manager tells me that they cant hire me, and he cant tell me why. he said corporate doesnt tell them anything, they just say yes or no. Here is the worst part, I was told that i was hired, just at that time i was being evicted because we could not afford the rent anymore in kissimmee, fl. So, since the job was so far away in orlando, we decided to move to an apartment right across the street from the job , and although i dont like it and its ghetto, i did it because i would not burn gas driving to work. Now they tell me im not hired, and i would have loved to stay in kissmmee and just find a cheaper place. They screwed me all around, is there anything i could do about this? more

Well, my girlfriend and I have been taking these extended weekend trips lately around FL, which is where we live and have really been enjoying the time together to just relax and get away from classes and our jobs. We are both in our early 20's and are simple people. Like doing regular stuff. Going out to eat, seeing movies, doing water parks, theme parks, movies, seeing shows, hanging around a pool or hotel and just enjoying ourselves. We've been going to the Orlando area recently, and have done Disney, Universal Studios, Wet n Wild, restuarants, tons of mini golf (lots of those around Orlando and Kissimmee), and seen movies, and are ready to plan a trip outward from Florida. Does anybody have any touristy areas like that (maybe not as big, I know Orlando is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the country) elsewhere that would include much of the simple activities that I mentioned? I think part of the intrigue and pull that we get from Orlando, is because they offer so many things to do that are cheap, like Downtown Disney. Thats free to go to and just blow time and shop or eat/people watch. Can anyone reccomend a good place to go to anywhere in the country that could keep us busy for a week and somewhere we could survive on about $100 a day for spending money? Keep in mind, we don't have to eat at the nicest restuarant nor see world class entertainment to have fun. Thanks in advance! more

I'm going on a vacation with my family for one month in Florida. My parents love Orlando. And wanna live around Kissimmee. Where gonna rent an apartment, with a nice big pool. Resolved Question: PLEASE HELP!! Need Suggestions for Orlando Investment Property with Negative Cash Flow?

Hi Everyone, Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what I'm sure is a very common dilema. In 2006, I bought a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Condo in Kissimmee, FL. I intended to use it as a short term rental for folks visiting Disney as well as a place for my family to stay once or twice a year on vacation. This is not my primary home. Here's the math and the reason I need your help. I paid $220k for it and have a Mortgage for $170k. It is now worth $120k. The mortgage is a 5/1 ARM that wont adjust for another 2 years. Currently fixed at 6.75%. My total Monthly expenses including mortgage, taxes, insurance, management fees, HOA etc for this condo is $1,875. I could not take in enough Short Term rental income to cover these expenses so recently I got a renter to sign a one year lease for $1,000/month. So my problem is I have a property that has wiped out a good chunk of my net worth because of depreciation, a mortgage that I can't re-finance because I'm upside down, and negative cash flow of almost $900/month. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to relieve the financial strain? The $875 negative each month is killing me and I'm barely able to afford much else. I am holding my head above water for now, have excellent credit, and have never missed a payment. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. is this a scam i was callling dish network and ordering the top 100 channels package when the guy says "ooooooh you just won a package for 2 4days - 3 nights 17805 Us Highway 92, Kissimmee, FL 2 free tckets to walt disney world 2 tickets to daytona hotel and beach they charged me about like total of 500 dollars is 17805 Us Highway 92, Kissimmee, FL this place a safe place a non crime area is this place a safe area because i am taking my nephew for the first time the summerbay getaway vacation are not giving us any information to me the summerbay getaway people say they would call us today but they didn't they don't give us any special detail or nothing i had to fight with them to give me the adress in florida is this a scam i paid over 500 dollars and if i dont go they still keep my 5 hundred dollars i dont know what or where the hotel is where we are staying i don't know if its one of those cheapy dirty hotels please give me some info more

I was wondering I heard about Cocoa Beach and Clearwater. How far are both those places from Kissimmee each. Hi, Can anyone tell me more information about the Elvis Presley museum in Kissimmee Florida. Is it still open and where is it located, is there a website? I Googled it but there is not much info. I think it may located near or in Old Town but I am not sure. We are vacationing there in November and my newphew is a HUGE fan of Elvis. If there is an Elvis attraction in Florida we could see, he would flip! Resolved Question: How can I check if a vacation rental from vrbo.com is legit?

I'm thinking of renting a vacation home in Kissimmee, FL. It requires a $300 deposit and full payment 60 days before arrival. Is this standard policy? I've seen other rentals say the same thing but full payment 2 months before arrival seems kinda sketchy. It could be that I'm just not familiar with how vacation homes are handled.
