This year, my parents decided that we'd have a late vacation, so my dad booked our flight for September 11th, 2010. We're flying out from St. Louis Missouri and arriving in Orlando Florida. Open Question: What Would Be a Good Collar Size For My Puppy?

I have a male Miniature Dachshund (long haired) who is going to be three months old by the time I bring him home from the breeder. I've never him, since I am not in the United States. I'm on vacation in another country at the moment, which uses the metric system. Well, I am looking to buy a collar for him here, since the pet accessories in Japan are really cute in my opinion. However, I am not sure of the size of my puppy's neck. I do not need an exact answer, but what on average is the size of a three month old Mini Dachshund's neck? Since he is male, he'll probably be on the larger end of the scale. Not sure if this would give a good estimate or not, but his mother weighs ten pounds and is four years old. His father is eleven pounds and five years old. So my puppy should fall within the AKC standard for Miniature Dachshunds if fed properly... etc. But, keep in mind that even small dogs change a lot in size from when they are young to when they become adults. :) I'd prefer the estimate to be in centimeters, but you can give an answer in inches as well. But then again, I could always wait until he comes home. However, I would rather not, since it is best to be prepared before a new family member comes into your life. :/ Thank you! more

Going into my senior year, I'm 17 years old. 3.0 GPA 21 ACT (but I'm going to retake it in the fall) Taking an AP class this year played 2 seasons of football, 2 seasons of wrestling, 2 seasons of volleyball, and 3 seasons swimming so far. 3 year varsity letterman in swimming and voted senior captain Selected as one of 30 high school student in central ohio for the Explorer's Program of Medicine. Born in South America but moved to the United States when I was 7, the summer before starting 2nd grade. (I am an American Citizen) and one more thing, i'm not sure if they look at your work experience, but i worked with my dad every summer since the 8th grade, as i got to learn more about the business, he trusted me enough to leave me in charge of the entire company while he went on vacation this summer, the fact that a 17 year old guy was in charege of an entire company for three weeks should be a big deal but is that something i should mention? the reason i'm stressed out is because i feel like my grades are low and i haven't done a whole lot of community service except 20 hours required for a class. and i'm retaking the ACT this fall but i know we should be applying for colleges this fall so do you think that it'd look bad if I apply a little late because i was waiting for my ACT results? Michelle Obama was criticized for going on vacation with her daughter. Its not fair to criticize her when Bush was on vacation during Hurricane Katrina. i have thought about it and i just don't see how it makes sense for a baby to be considered a citizen if it is born in a country that the mother is not a citizen of. the baby should be considered a citizen of whatever country that their mother is a citizen of. what happens if an american woman gives birth prematurely while vacationing in italy? is that child considered an italian citizen as far as the united states is concerned? i don't think the government should go back and un-naturalize a child if that child's mother was not a citizen before the amendment. i do think however, that after the new amendment goes into affect any child born in the united states whose mother is not a citizen that that child should not be considered a citizen of the united states. more

Resolved Question: Should I go to Camp or Not ?

I go to the "Yes! Summer Fun" Camp . And I went ot be w/ my BFF . But we both knew she would only be there for the first month & that was it (The camp goes on for a month & 2 weeks). And what we do is that there are 10 kids for each van . So yeah I m friends w/ everyone , but we all start talking to each other ONLY when were in the van . When we get to the Field trips everyone is just clinging w/ someone from the other vans . I would hang w/ my BFF & a girl named Cristen . But the Ironic thing is , is that they BOTH went on a vacation for a month . So I kinda feel lonely . Well, it starts out with my family who live in the United States. My dad's family live in the Philippines. The problem boils down to money: my dad's family asks us for money when they need it. They used to ask multiple times about 3 years ago, until my mom scolded them for asking so often. They then stopped. My mom got angry not just because of the frequent asking, but also because my dad's family would only thank my dad, even though my mom helped out equally. They only like my dad, not much with me, my mom, or brothers. Then on a vacation to the Philippines last year, my family went to a party hosted by my dad's side. Once there, I noticed that the family in question (the ones asking for money) were gossiping about my mother. My mom noticed, and just became infuriated. My dad doesn't do anything other than weakly telling his family to stop asking. My mom and dad have had some traumatic arguments about this. Traumatic to me mainly. I mean I can't stop thinking about this problem, it's on my mind for half the day, and it's been a year since it's happened. And recently, some relatives from my dad's side tried to add me as a friend on Facebook, to which I ignored. I feel guilty about, but it just brings up too many painful memories. Now, I can't stop thinking about it. I don't want to talk to my dad, because he'll probably do next to nothing. My mom probably would get angry again. What should I do? I need help with how to get this problem solved and how I can fix my own life. I worry about this constantly. more

Gio, according to Harry Redknapp has improved a lot, but he is concerned as to whether or not Dos Santos will put more effort into practices than he did at the local nightclubs in England. F.Y.I: Im Filipino-American... vacationing in the Philippines. So my dad was invited to have dinner at his cousin's house, and it was the first time meeting that part of my family... Me and one of my cousin's were having a friendly conversation, until I tell him my age. He's 21, and I'm 16, but I guess he thought I was much older. Then the next thing I know, he says, "Wow you're big for your age!". I've had comments like that before, as in mature big... but the way he emphasized "BIG" threw me off, haha. I asked him to define "big", then right off the bat he answers, "Like fat! Humongous!! Really Big! American's are fat like you right??" I was... so speechless...haha... I guess I am on the chubby side... (5'1'' 125lbs) but comparing me to most Filipina girl, I definitely am more curvy, and I like it that way! Then he turns to his sister and he asks her if I look "big", she immediately replies "Omg yeahh I mean I'm only 19, and look at me!". I guess she was implying that she looked younger than me... I don't know where she saw that. :P So then after that strange experience he kept on going with the conversation... I thought he was crazy! (You just called me fat! I want to slap youuu!! Hahaha.) But my dad told me that its normal for Filipino's to speak their mind... even if it is rude. And I guess I took it so badly because, back in the United States, you just don't blurt out such insulting comments, unless you want to get into a fist-fight. Well, what made this event even more crazy was that at a party I attended (met more new relatives too) everyone complimented me on my looks! I was even wearing a bathing suit! XDD Ugh sorry for venting on here... but I feel much better now. I am an European born American and have lived in the US for 7 years now. I have grown to love this country with our culture and "semi-perfectness." Back when I lived in Europe, I craved to be an American. Dare to say, I considered Bush as the smartest man on Earth. But lately, I've noticed a lot of hate against the United States. I'm sitting here in Europe on vacation, wondering why some people here might find the US a bad place. As I have lived in the United States for a large portion of my life, I can tell you myself that absolutely nothing sets apart the US from Europe on the subject of friendliness and education. Sure, there are a lot of nuts here; but the rest of the kids are hard working individuals striving to make a future. I've seen kids here dreaming about being famous or being well known doctors. If there is something left of our pride, it is our faith. We believe in our future. The government has been rough lately but is nowhere near the term "corrupt." Obama has been helping this country lately, not destroying it. It is the republican party with Bush and McCain who gave us a bad name. I'm sorry for our tourists; they can be a bit snotty (I've seen them on the plane.) But for the majority of us, (310M strong) we are not stupid, fat, or snotty. I rang twice more, but he still didn't answer. I knew he hadn't gone on vacation with Spencer, because his car was still in the driveway. So I went to the back and knocked three times, and still got nothing. I didn't understand this; he'd called that morning to ask me over. I went back to the front door, and not only did it open, but it looked like the hinges had been ripped off. And, right there in the living room, was Elliot lying face down in a pool of blood.
